Same thing even BJP did, when Pramod Mahajan was Telecom minister, he favoured Anil Ambani backed Reliance telecom, all calls to pvt mobile number through pco booth were charged at STD rates.. where as locals charges were applicable for calling reliance telecom number...

Just a few months ago something similar happened in IRCTC. There was a release regarding sharing of revenue generated through fee withe the Govt. Hours later it was magically withdrawn. Causing almost 30% volatility in the stock in a day!! If this wasnt manipulation, i dont know what is!!
I agree with this. I lost 50% of my profits from such news. Any how I sold IRCTC later.

Sir I think these are called "Participatory Notes" which was one of the easiest way to evade taxes and chidambaram has legalized it with no questions asked from RBI or SEBI...

We have law but for only common man nit for politicians

This is hard truth about India. Yahan politicians k uppar kisi ka bas he nhi chalta. Jab tak koi strong government aa k inpe nakel na kase na to court na to rbi na koi financial institution k paas koi power hai. Koi agar jaanch baitha de to khud ki sarkar me to ye uska transfer kar denge ya hata he denge padd se. Aur jis tarah ka scam chidambaram ne kiya ye to is position pe koi bhi kar sakta hai unless or until khud se na karna chahe. Uske liye koi rule regulation hai he nhi.

Do you think it is not happening now. The promissory note controversy brought down mkt badly and then it was amended by adding that holders of PNs must b disclosed but again it was removed and hence SEBI is unable to investigate Adani case recently. Hence it is old wine in new bottle.

The Market has been pretty bad until today it decided to surge. Everybody was Practically Crying then. It kept dipping. That's what you get when you feel you can navigate the process on your own.
