FINALLY!!!!! I GOT IT! Thanks. I have been searching for an "easy" way to make a template without having to purchase anything and you made it easy to follow.
Finally I can use the program to make templates, Thank you for all your help. I watched about 2 times then wrote down all your steps, lol, you did a great job.
Can you tell me what all the different sizes should be for the circles? you did a 3 for your ss6 size but i need the size for ss10 but would love to know them all. Thanks!
Wow, thank you so much for this tutorial, it is by far the best one : ). I did my template for a script monogram & it came out exactly like I needed it to. Once again thank you..
TY for this! The first time I did this it came out perfect. I went to do another one and my cloned dots are on the top not the bottom and did not cut. Any suggestions?
pressing ctrl when creating the circle will give you a perfect circle. also if you cancel the lock you can change both x and y to the same size for a perfect circle
Just save it as a regular file and then when you transferred over to Cricket it should convert but do not stretch it do not manipulated once you have your size. That's a size that you going to cut in cricket
Hi!! I was wondering if measurements are different in Inkscape than in design space? I put the measurements in the same as my upload is in ds and after saving it and uploading it to ds it was very small… I’m trying to make a rhinestone template for a 24 oz cold cup and the measurements on ds are H-10.9xW-11.4
If u woulda looked for yellow circles u could’ve copied that onto a new layer and deleted the extras. Didn’t know Inkscape could do that btw. Thank u for this , looking for alternatives rather than paying for silhouette upgrade.
Once you have made the Design. In Ink scape. You save it as your svg file and then uploaded to design space. Be careful about the sizing you make it in design space make sure you keep it the same size that you made it in inkscape. And yes it should recognize your cuts
its the size of you cricle for your stone. go and set the size using mm when you do the circle. also hold down the control button when you making the circle for the stone . see if that helps.

hold shift or ctrl while your making your circle it should snap to a perfect 360 degrees
pressing ctrl when creating the circle will give you a perfect circle. also if you cancel the lock you can change both x and y to the same size for a perfect circle
Hold shift and control while dragging the circle out.
At the end it wasn't cutting because the red box needed to - be object to path, then you can use the difference.
What type of file did you use for your shamrock?
I found the share with the design on Google
Is an SVG

Yes u need to resize in DS to the size u want . Do a test cut 1st to save materials..
Yep that is the problem with DS.. small project only..for me.

What cutter did you use; Cameo or Cricut?
used the Air 2
Ok so I have the air 2 also. So how do you save it so DS will recognize it to make the cut?
