The best teaching lesson on rhinestone file and cut development BY FAR!!! Excellent job! Great job! You gave me some tips that I didn't know of! Yes! Thank you!
I use SCAL5 for rhinestones and it does an excellent job!! Definitely worth a look. Thank you for this tutorial. There were many "hidden gems" in this video. (I also use Inkscape, but better acquainted with SCAL.) As with any of these and as you mention they all have their "quirks". Thanks again for taking time to share your knowledge.
Sorry for the terribly late response, but yes, more or less. The only difference being you cannot use a font directly but rather an image of the word or letter you intend to use. You can do this by creating a new document, typing the word or letter in your choice of font, then saving it as a .png or .jpeg, etc. Use black lettering with a white background for the best possible vector translation. From there you would follow the same steps as seen in this video.
I'm using Inkscape version 1.2. I can get the first row to scatter and I can get the design to inset. When I try to scatter the second row it produces an upside down copy of the first scatter pattern. Anyone have suggestions?
Click on the mock stone, click and hold the shift key and then select the area you want the stones to scatter to. Then choose Extensions then Generate From Path, then choose Scatter.
I get stuck after duplicating the circles..it doesn't scatter for me..please help! Thanks much

I followed this and it said I needed two paths but you didn't. How do I fix that? I really need to know to do this.
Thank you for this video this is exactly what I have been looking for. Is it the same process for letters with different fonts?
