"Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God." Psalm 90:2
Turn it up I say...turn it up some more...turn it up until every word resonates and reverberates to the very depths of your soul and shakes loose all that was constrained!
Folks ought not need nuclear bomb threats to repent, but obviously they DO because with the bombings of nuclear facilities there is STILL NO REVIVAL in the world! Thank GOD for His MERCY! What a wicked world.
REPENT and RECEIVE JESUS as your LORD and SAVIOR to have your name secured in His Book of Life! "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." Revelation 20:15! Time is winding up.
No, that’s not how it works. Read the Bible. The Sunday law has to be introduced, then Gods people are persecuted, then Jesus returns to take the saved back to Heaven😉
@@suev3339 I agree - I am raised Lutheran. I had occasion to attend a funeral in an RC church, several years back. Imagine my surprise, when I perused the Hymnal to find "A Mighty Fortress is Our God" in the First Lines Index. Martin Luther was excommunicated by the Pope in 1521!
I wish most churches had not abandoned congretional singing, hymnals and that most Christian families still learned and practiced music with the purpose of worshipping God. Majestic renditions such as this one would probably be more common. What goes on in many congregations nowadays is very sad. This should be normal.
I listened to this hymn being sung in my crc church in london ontario canada at Bethel Christian REFORMED church when I was just a kid. I think it was 1980. The organist was a seven foot tall very nice christian gentleman by the name of gerrit nieman. It always amazed me. After each verse sung by the congregation? Man mr niemann would put on a musical show for the ages. I'm not kidding. I cant describe how awesome it sounded. Picture an organ popping out an amazing perfect rythm of ""Boom bittiti di itti be boom boom! ba de boom boom!"" In perfect sound. And then the crc congregation would peacefully sing the next verse. It sounded beyond heavenly. It really did. Mr niemann organ? I'm not at all giving the music from that organ the credit it deserves. Better then chariots of fire. Unfortunately its Indescribable to relate in words. Mr niemann? He was on key. That day. If their was one version of one song I wish I had on tape or record? That'd be the one.
Thank you Martjin for creating and sharing this channel. This hymn was repeating in mybhead for days and this morning I found your channel. Blessings brother. From Australia. Please pray for this nation.
This is one of the great Church of England (Anglican) hymns. The notes/description fails to credit the composer Sir George Elvey who was a precocious talent. He had been a chorister at Canterbury Cathedral and later study and was organist at New College, Oxford and attended the Royal Academy of Music. At the age of 19 he was appointed organist & Master of Chorister at St George's Chapel Windsor Castle.
High stakes. Beautiful, glorious. My nasals can’t sing this song because of obstacles, my tonsils would need more. Omnipiture is very important to be able to articulate. Excellent. Well done.
I know I am taking a great risk but it is all worth it. I can expect criticism and persecution. But I have to do what I feel in my heart is the right thing whatever the cost may be.
May we be counted among the heavenly beings, who will be faultless to sing before the King of kings
I woke up singing this song this morning, the God of haven ministered to me in my sleep. I crown him the Lord of life, he's the Lord of my Life.
For some days this hymn has been severally sung in my heart
I love this hymn so much. I imagine singing this before the throne of God with the heavenly host. Just glorious! 😍
Superb Comment ever

This is to all denominations: If Psalm 57:5 and/or Matthew 17:1-8 is your Scripture(s) of the Day, this is a good hymn to compliment it.

I've never heard the second and last verses listed here. Interesting.
We attend Christ Covenate in Charlotte NC. Looked like his picture.
Something about a congregation of men singing to the Lord

The great AMEN! of Revelation.
There are some verses that aren't in my "Great Hymns of the Faith"- these are much better!
Came for nostalgia, but commented because the music is Christmas but the lyrics are Easter 😂
Marvelous
❤❤❤
May we have permission to use this video for our church service and live stream?
why are the words different after the first verse from the song I know?
Where can I find the sheet music for the prelude in this music?
Can we have permission to play this in our live stream service on Sunday?
She would take her codename after an ancient hymn, standard Tridentarius
I'm here for her if she needs ir.. better, chooses us.
I know I am taking a great risk but it is all worth it. I can expect criticism and persecution. But I have to do what I feel in my heart is the right thing whatever the cost may be.
The composer converted to Catholicism after reading John Henry Neuman
Its a crime of unimaginable consequences.
Such a lovely Hymn
Amen
Can we have permission to play this in our live stream service on Sunday?
