  • (I apologize for my pronunciation). After some weeks of daily use I have to say goodbye to this product due to its drawbacks. I didn't find any video speaking about the facts I state here, so decided to post this.
    Do you know about a better alternative to the Pixi Evo? Let me know!

    Ok it's not the best quality but tbh you're not using it correctly either. If you don't extend the legs while using it as a stick, it's pretty stable. And as the user manual on the back of the packaging tells us, if you use it as a table tripod with a camera with a heavy lens like you just showed, you should extend the legs, put the tripod in the lower position, and angle the camera in line with one of the legs. It's simple physics, that position gives a lot more stability, and then it works just fine. You can't expect a small lightweight tripod like this one to behave like a heavier sturdy one if you're not willing to do a couple of simple adjustments.

    About the camera moving and not the table... Some buildings, the way they are constructed allows for minor shakes throughout the structure. You won't feel it or be able to see it but your camera will if its on a flimsy tripod like that one you had. Actually, placing a class of water on a table you will notice the water moving very slightly, so it happens. Thanks for your video, convinced me in not getting one of those.

    Dude, when you move the table, you move everything on it. It's physics.

    It depends on what works for you. You can’t have light and portable and expect it to hold up against a full size DSLR with a huge lens. It’s works well with my APS-C camera and I love it. Thanks for the review though.

    I really appreciate and like your honest review. I ordered one in India and facing the same issues. Don't have an option to return. This tripod is stable only with the legs fully stretched. And we don't get confidence to hold a heavy camera. Spec wise it's good but practically it's like an expensive toy.

    3:04 you are incorrect.
    Your walking, did indeed cause the the table to move, which in turn vibrated the camera which was likely heavy.
    If it was in china, the floors are prolly very poorly built. Especially if you tried to budget and stay in a crappy hotel.

      Hi! Well, the Pixi evo was marketed as a table tripod and as a grip for handheld video/vlog. So that's what I used it for. The thing about the table, maybe I did not explain it well, I just wanted to say it's very wobbly.

  • @Giannisexperiences
    @Giannisexperiences 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Hi thanks for the review, however I disagree, first and for most, you want a quick release invest on it, you can find some for 9 buck on e-bay, second the legs may be a little robust but for sure they make an outstanding job to hold the camera ( panasonic g7) they don't feel super bulky and they give me security when i hold the tripod, third the wheel may be loose but i think that reason why they do that is so it's easy to pull it out of the tripod. I made a video talking about why this tripod is the absolute gorilla pod killer, you should compare apples to apples, you can't compare it with the other big ass tripod because clearly that one can't work for vlogging, if vlogging is what you do, i have to disagree with you on this one, but i appreciate your opinion. come watch my video so you can see why this tripod is king.

    If anything didn't wobble or move except the camera alone, then, this must mean that there were some ancient Manfrottian spirits flying around the room which felt your presence and hostile attitude towards manufacturer and they started to miracleously move your camera, and it just looked to you like it moved all by itself, how spooky is that ;-) :-)
