We have to race and survive 3 laps around a highly destructive track, drive too fast and you break your car, drive too slow and you lose the race.

Only way that would work if you time the lap and let everyone finish the lap, stop, and wait, then everyone switches their car, and then resume in the order and interval.

Would be cool to see Brazen style tracks in BeamNG with crazy boost pads, pipes and mid air crashes. Cars wouldn't last a few corners without reseting, would be total chaos with parts flying everywhere lol

Would be neat to see a combo of these destruction races, mixed with the "upgrade the flood". Upgrade the Destruction, or something..
Basically, everyone picks the base model of a car, much like upgrade racing, but first (and maybe second) don't get to upgrade anything. Everyone else gets to upgrade their cars to be faster, stronger, etc, to survive the destruction track better. Keeps going for about 10 rounds or so, then a final race of everyone's cars as modified as they are, to see who's made the superior car.
Could be really fast offroad like a dune buggy, but any little bump could ping your tire into space, or make a slow but highly durable vehicle (like the MRAP), it's a different level of upgrade survival challenges.

How would upgrade work?
Say, you're only allowed to choose 2 upgrades, so you start stock and don't come 1st or 2nd, so say upgrade the turbo and suspension if you came 3rd onwards, then eventually tune it up each round

you should do one of these where after the race the cars in their finishing conditions then do a demo derby or other challenge for varying points ... like a dirt track championship you brind 1 car too and if it dies then your out at that point...
so like a race, then this endurance test, then maybe another race and finishing in a demo derby if anyone is left standing...
