Quick Tip for Tuning the Cars for Handling: Toe the Front Wheels out 0.5-1.0 degrees (Slider to the Left) and Toe in the Rear Wheels (Slider to the Right) by the same amount. And give them as much Caster as possible. There is a little Alignment Tool in the UI Options that you can use. Camber about 1.5° is a pretty decent value. The cars become more stable on the straights and corner a lot better as well. Pass this tip on to the others. The Vanilla Race Cars all have horrible Alignment and that's the main reason they all drive like garbage.
@@MyFabian94 for my K series I used about 1 degree toe out in the front with neutral toe in the rear, using a set alignment setup every time does not work with every car and driving style, especially with different platform configurations, for example in mid engine and rear engine configurations you’d typically want toe-in on the front (something that most Porsche Cup and GT3 cars use) but again a lot of it is down to driver preference
@@cgoya1777 I see in a lot of Failrace BNG Stuff that he often uses the Godawful Vanilla Alignments just from the way they slither about. It takes some getting into, but the advantages become immediately obvious.
Idea to improve the concept: 1 make series, everybody starts with the same basic car. After each race, everybody picks one modification, which must be unique, starting from the back of the grid.
Alex, I found the curbs only puncture tires on mod maps like the ones imported from AC. Vanilla ones like Hirochi Raceway are fine to hit at full send.
An idea for another video for this challenge, make the upgrade a draft pick where you go in ascending position order so whoever was last, gets the first choice. It would be a grand prix style so a points system for where you placed in the race

Minor suggestion: Use the CamodoGaming rule for tires and brakes - you can have a full set if you want, or only front/back... But changing FROM that would be another upgrade entirely. If you pick a half-set and decide to go back to stock, that's classed as an upgrade in and of itself.
K series was too OP because it's already a sports car, so it's default parts and specs are already superior compared to others which are regular road cars, Alex's ETK is old too, modern vehicles will also have an advantage over it
This was a great concept. I'd love to see a longer series of this, perhaps have three tracks, run each with 2 sprints and a longer race leading to 9 races in total.
I guess two things: 1. I agree with those that suggested more upgrades for the lower finishers. It might help whoever is struggling fix their car. 2. A mulligan with the minimum number of upgrades if the car they picked just isn't working, and they must start in last for the next race.
Here´s an idea; Cars can be built, but no one knows what type of race is next, it could be a circuit race, dirt, rally, drag race, demolition derby and such :D
I like the format, but maby you can allow brakes, tyres and the sort to upgrade both front and rear in one upgrade. This way you waste less upgrades on keeping it balanced and more on the actual preformace
This one option racing would be fun to watch on the survive the descent map. It would be great to see if some people go for better tires or more speed etc, and which option would be best.
This is such a good concept but just a tweak that I think might be worth thinking about. Especially if you bring this to Forza. For each finishing position assign a PI value (bumps of 5 per position just as an example. I don't actually play Forza so I don't know what the lowest pi upgrade is but I guess if you finish 1st you could bank that 5 pi for the next race.) or assign a certain strength upgrade on beamng to keep it kinda competitive. Love the content though
This, but with 2 different tracks in the series of races. Or one that has both top speed and tight corners so there are multiple options for focusing on upgrades, go for power or go for corners and braking. This was actually interesting as someone not super interested in most races where the cars stay the same but the tracks change
Should do this in Forza too would be fun to see Also related idea Start a bottom of lets say B class Split the finishers in half top half get points bottom half get PI. (Ive use a 10 car grid for this example) So top 5 get points 5,4,3...etc bottom 5 get PI with last place getting he most PI say 25PI for last 20 for 9th 15 for 8th etc They can use this PI to do upgrades Grid orders are contined over from previous race finishing positions, therefore the for race 2 the highest PI would start last. This would also be a deterrent to deliberlately finish in last cause youd have to start last in the next race So while the championship leaders would start at the front of the grid, they would have faster cars coming up behind them. And visa versa while youd have a faster car youd have to fight your way from the back of the pack in order to score points I think this would be an incredible entertain video hope ive explained it well enough
I like that you guys use many different car, especially something like this. Next time maybe start with sport tires, sport suspension, sport breaks and Lsd so you can focus on more of the fun stuff.
Ah dude, I was with you until the boost overclock. I would have suggested brakes and then front tyres. This a great series idea. Hopefully there's a lot of viable variety!
Instead of just one upgrade you can say only upgrades from one category, then have a bunch of categories, like Engine swap, power upgrades (turbo, nitrous, ecu, exhaust etc.), wheels (all 4 both rims and tires), Engine health (radiator and engine block), brakes (all 4 both discs and pads) and weight reduction (remove as many parts as you want)
I'm seeing a lot of suggestions and all are interesting and would be fun to see but to make it most fair I would say one race, one upgrade as it were but everyone starts with the same exact/spec vehicle. If anything it should make the races a lot closer.
should group upgrades like brakes front and rear, tires, suspension, and for engine you can engine swap for one upgrade or do like a stage 1 build for the upgrade.
I would argue that upgraded tires b fore a dif is better, because instead of spinning both wheels on stock tires, you use more of the power , have better handling and are less likely to spin.
i think it could have been so much better if everyone used the same car, so it would be leveled at the start and then diverge due to different upgrade choices
I had an interesting thought. Would converting a base model moonhawk into a firehawk one upgrade at a time work? (whether or not it would do good at all in the final race is eh, it would be very cool though)
do race till destruction, everyone starts with a fully stripped car, with wheels, engine, gas tank. Everything else possible to take off, is taken off. Then start adding parts each round.
I could only upgrade wheels and tires because I couldn't get race tyres on the stock wheels, and it had no traction to use the power even if I gave it to it lol
Going turbo is too bold of a moove unless you choose a cr with a serious stock block, i'd say it's better to just get the stage 3 internals and slicks early so you can then add suspension too since weight reduction often requires many changes. I'm surprised no one picked the Hirochi Sunburst
Honestly I don't think you need to change the rules too much, just find a track that's more handling based too nerf the power cars with massive power and maybe count an engine swap as a final upgrade, so you can swap the engine when you want, but then you can't make any more upgrades
Id say 1st place no upgrades, 2nd to 5th 1 upgrade, everyone else to 2nd last 2 upgrades, and last Place gets 3 upgrades. Could be tactics involved then. Points vs upgrades
Do this but the winner doesn't get an upgrade, or finishing lower gives you more upgrades and it's a championship. Do you sandbag and hope you dominate later rounds or go all out from the off?
GG everyone! Good race, good video. Suggestion, if you guys decide to revisit this race. 1st 3 finishers get 2 upgrades. everyone else gets 1 upgrade. That's the penalty for not coming in the top 3.

You probably mean a diff, which is short for differential. My knowledge of cars isn't that great either, but from what I know about it it is used to regulate how much one of the driven wheels spin compared to the other or in 4WD cars also how much % of power the front/rear wheels get. The thing he talked about, one-tyre-fires, is that one of the driven rear wheels in the car tends to spin (the one with the least amount of grip) and the other one doesn't get a lot of power. It is way more complicated than that (check Differential (mechanical device) on wikipedia), but hopefully this helps a bit. Otherwise, I am sure there are plenty of people in the commentsection who know way more about it than I do.

this could be cool if only people in the bottom half or not in podium got an upgrade

to top that everybody have the same car in the beginning, so the best tuner wins.

This is a great tournament format, hope to see more! Maybe get two upgrades /race so the cars are more competent in each race?
