I would like to : Flee as a bird to your mountain, Thou who art weary of sin; Go to the clear flowing fountain, Where I may wash and be clean; Fly, for th'Avenger is near thee; God bless you, massana20

thank you for posting,,,i really feel great joy seeing choir like yours...we all blessed that we are giving all our talents and time for the Lord ... don't get tired singing for Him! God bless your church and your ministry.
This was in my old church hymn book Great Songs of the Church, we never sang it though. I can't understand why such a beautiful song is not much better known.
"Jésus " protect me forever , Thy precious blood flows on me in abundance and wash me from all sins, I want to walk on your step, show me the way I want to follow you for always Jesus. God bless you, Good end of week massana20
@ProphetLuong Because this is a timeless hymn. This type of songs should be sung like the original. That's the beauty of it. This is English from the 19th century.
The lyrics were written by Mary S. B. Dana in 1842. The tune is a Spanish Air traditionally titled IN DOMINO CONFIDO. The metrical pattern is 8787.888.8. The instrumentation is much too loud and piercing for this hymn. Try it without instrumentation and keep the sound sustained and flowing. Beef up the bass a bit.
@Longing4Jesus Yes, it is not "Old English." There are just a few Elizabethan pronouns in it. It is a beautiful song both in word and musical note. Not one syllable should be changed.

Wonderful arrangement & performance of a wonderful song.
Very comforting, God is good all the time.
John.
So emotional and inspirating. Blessed be the Lord. Greetings from Brazil
from sweden, with love
