I don't know if you have heard of Abandon Mines - Rust and Dust on TH-cam. The girl had an accident at work and may be in a wheelchair from now on. They were looking for a mine they may be able to explore [ partially ] when she is able to. I thought of your mine immediately. I don't know if you or any viewers can help, I'm not even sure if doing this will help at all but It's the only thing I could think of. So help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank You. P.S. It looks like you guys have 1000 more loads to remove and I'll be there watching every one.

The collapse could be some freeze-thaw cycle breaking rocks which are supporting the pile, OR just PUSHING them out.
Then once the ice thaws, the water makes the microfine rocks into sludge, which, as you know, works as a lubricant, to accelerate the slip.

The rumbling sound of the far away selfrunning or car is amazing- and just sitting in front of my PC .... my Grandgrandpa was an overseer we call it Steiger here in mines near the border to France and Luxembourg.
