It’s not the car LA deserves, but it’s they one they need.
The "wings" function like 'speed brakes" and "spoilers" on aircraft, they protrude into the slip stream creating more drag to help slow the vehicle.

Love those M-1 Series Tail Lights......Yeah, they would have been in the spec for the original Wayne Foundation Bridging Vehicle to maintain universal parts with the DOD supply system.

What are you guys gonna do with that jet nozzle on the back? Leave it blank or add a weed torch or something similar to mimic the movie?
What kind of wheels are being used for the inner rear tires? The axle appears to go through them, like there is no wheel.
Great build! Why not go with fuel injection for the engine? That thing needs a backup camera! Haha
Thanks man! Good question. Two reasons we used a 360 Dodge Small block: #1 The movie vehicle was a similar carb’d 350 Chevy Small block. So we want to be true to that.
#2 You just can’t get that sweet, violent NASCAR sound and smell out of an FI engine.

Part 4 is in the works =). We are targeting completion this summer. Roof (the only one that will move like the movies) took 35 working days to design + build
Thanks for the up date on this project I can’t wait to see the next part. This is certainly a dream project and car/tank. I would love to have one my but I doubt you could drive in the uk without running over other cars over. Ha ha

Is it just me or does the cockpit seem undersized? Comparing it to the Tumbler on Lenos site, this looks to be about 30% smaller.
That is awesome, I want to do that, is there any way you guys would part with some of the plans. I've been a Welder/fabricator for 25+ years
The plans are all drawn / owned by RPM Productions LLC. The vehicle just belongs to me. As far as I know Marc will not sell the plans to the public. I'm sorry, man!

@@paultimmins1 it did not! But I can confirm we are now 95% done. Chassis is painted and body panels are totally prepped for paint. Then last 5 % is wiring and interior assembly (all parts are done, just need to install). Update in August for sure 😎

I love how they behaved as if that key that they put up front was a new invention, as if harmonic balancers have ever used the same system, not to mention....Maybe he was still excited about finding the solution? Excellect feat of vision, design, engineering, and problem solving galore.
Keyways aren't new in engineering... it was simply a teaching moment in the video for average people like myself/the audience, by an incredibly intelligent designer/builder (Marc)
