    I'm a detailer at a Mazda Dealership and the CX-70 and 90's are honestly really nice, but I have a one problem with them and all Mazda's in general. Their paint is still very brittle. Do not be surprised that it scratches easy, along with the piano black trim if the car is optioned with that The best colors unfortunately scratch the easiest, Deep Crystal Blue and Soul Red. The safer colors to get are grays, whites and lighter colors. Other than that I am excited to see how the Inline 6 holds up in terms of long term reliability. I am also hoping someone gets ahold of one of these and puts and exhaust on it with a downpipe to make it a budget BMW😂

      If you are a detailer you already know the remedies for soft paint: just get full frontal PPF. Most new cars you need to do it anyways… the environmentally friendly paint is not as strong as before…

      You are absolutely right about the paint. I have neighbors who let their cats out during the night and one likes the perch from the roof of my Mazda. I don't know if cats' claws do this to other cars, but the cat is pulling micro paint chips jumping up onto the hood.

    I own a CX-5 and a CX-30, and I test-drove the CX-70 today. I immediately noticed that the transmission isn't as smooth as the 6-speed in the other models. The 6-speed transmission feels more refined. One thing I particularly disliked was the handling of downshifts. The rest I really liked and typical Mazda great quality

    • @David_Journey
      @David_Journey 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The transmission learns your driving style, which unfortunately won’t be visible in a short test drive. I have no issues on 24’ PHEV CX-90, through 15k+ miles

      @@saeednrzadeh4754 Yeah, I’m still in the 8-speed’s “learning mode,” after 2 full days. My 2015 CX-5 w/198K miles has the fully manual 6-speed from the Miata (best transmission in the past 10 years!), so I’m predisposed to dislike the 8-sp. A/T in-house Mazda design (first introduced in last year’s CX-90), and acknowledge the much longer 6-sp. A/T’s development life (and fact it had/has a torque converter the 8-sp. lacks) probably feels more refined.

    • @9amazonia
      @9amazonia 19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      This transmission was developed by Mazda on themselves, and also the quality isn’t good enough at now this time. But they raise their quality step by step as always they do. So the best time to get it is about 3 to 4 years after release new models. I think the value is, this transmission isn’t made by ZF, made by themselves. It’s unique.😂
      この車の本当の価値と面白いところは、エンジンもトランスミッションも、新しいシャシーさえも同時に自社開発した所です。確かに荒削りで品質や完成度に問題がありますが、毎度のことの様にマツダは品質改良で克服してきます。したがって、買い時は発売から3〜4年経った頃でしょう。また、この時代にそんな挑戦をする会社が他にあるでしょうか。マツダは価値のある会社だと、私は思います。

    My only gripe is that the memory seats are not programmed to each key, the seats don’t move back for ease of exits and entry when the engine is shut off when you open the door, and the side mirrors aren’t programmed to each memory position. For a vehicle this expensive, Mazda cheaped out by eliminating that. I don’t see how they didn’t incorporate that into it the car as it’s just programming the ECU. Even my Honda accord has those things and it’s half the price. Other than that, the vehicle is top notch.

    • @pazicjr

      @ not here in the U.S. only the very top trim has that programmed into it which is stupid. It’s not like Mazda has to add anything else to make those functions work. Just programming. Mazda is a rip off. First and last Mazda for me. Thank goodness it’s a lease.

      @vince-g6f duno which trim you got, or if this is only for 2025, but the Turbo S Premium (2nd top trim) also has the seating and mirror memory functions, based on Mazda USA site. Could be, that this wasn't on the 2024 (2nd top trim). I know for Canada that the 2024's had a lot of things only reserved for the top trim, but they changed it for the next year.

      I actually saw a story about how Mazda has had record sales in 2024. What they are doing is working but they definitely could have done more on the CX-70 to make it appeal to more people. I think there is a small segment that wants the size of a 90 with only 2 rows. Most people looking at a 2-row would rather have a shorter vehicle that is more agile.

To get the Giddy Up of 340HP / 370 lbs Torque in the Mazda would require going wioth a Type S for $18K MORE !
