Music and lyrics: Ben Shepherd
We see you laugh
We see you dance
We take that away
Every day
We see you cry
We turn your hear
Then we slap your face
We see you try
We see you fail
Some things never change
We hear you cry
We hear you wail
We steal that smile from your face
Bow down to live
Your Life
Head down, hide that smile
Head high got to smile
Head high like a song you like

This is the type of song you hear in a dream, but when you wake up you can't remember it...
Very well put!
nice✌✌✌
That’s why i keep a dream journal 🤘🤘🤘
Yes I ve had some dreams like that before Sound Garden a awesome group
@@jjdamonkey2749 a great idea,a dream journal
One of their most unheralded underrated songs. Love the passion he put into playing guitar, not just singing.
Yeah man!
chris doesn't receive enough recognition and credit for his guitar playing.
@@mitchlatour1932 Chris Cornell is 2nd Best Rhythm Guitarist of all times, after Malcolm Young of AC/DC.
every song from Superunknown is underrated, even Black Hole Sun.
@@dmpp47 BHS, is definitely not underrated, but I do feel as if not enough people listen to SG when they most certainly should.
This is one of their most "grunge" songs, it´s great the atmosphere..
They are the best American band. They found the perfect balance between fame alternative underground and grunge. The world can be jealous.
Heard them after they had disbanded..Born on the other side of the world (Nepal), no chance of seeing them live...but that won't stop making them my favourite band for the last 25 years and counting
my favorite soundgarden song, this version is awesome
I love this song w/ a passion. Thanks Ben Shepard for writing such a great tune!!
Shepherd*
One of my favorite Soundgarden songs!
There are almost zero bands this good these days. The sound of pissed off, ambitious smart guys is a thing of the past. Millenials -where is your rage?
There's Periphery, SikTh, Toska, there's a plenty of acts up there
@@domi8653 -It's not the same. The gritty world of the touring rock band has given way to internet bands.
@Ryan Silver do you even grammar? lay off the crack pipe
Only the generation x my generation could create this magic. So proud of being 40 years old. I could enjoy their music on mtv. Nirvana, korn muse kasabian, Fiona pj omg I feel so blessed. Sound garden amazing!
Millennials have consumed too much soy.
So beautiful. One of Ben's best
RIP CHRIS CORNELL, we always gonna love you
These old footages are fucking diamonds holy shit
when Chris Cornell is on song.... there is no one better. amazing singing.
Indeed..he was more inconsistent back then...got more polished as a singer after the reunion even as he lost some of the higher range..
@@alwynsam5349 if the fold back system was anything less than stellar, he’d have pitch issues and sing slightly flat. but that’s the nature of playing live in the 80’s / 90’s… this was before in-ears.
@@coldacreAh..appreciate the insight..didn't know you were a musician as well !
Matt Cameron is a monster on the drums
I get reminded of this songs every so often by chance and then have to listen to it. With 85k views, it's good to see I'm not the only one.
Not sure but the year this album came out we hade some stuff from Pearl Jam and Nirvana and people didn't pay much attention to Soundgarden : I was 20 back in 95 , I love Pearl Jam & Co but this Soundgarden album is such a treasure : tribute to Chris Cornell.
Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Maybe in your country it was that way, but in the US and UK they were everywhere, in 1994 Superunknown's album literally became SuperKNOWN lmao, you couldn't escape Black Hole Sun.
I fucking love this tune. Just fucking EPIC! Cornell and Shepard did amazing on this one.
I love this song, long live Superunknown 30 years 🤘🏽
amazing song, the best of Superunknown!
The fucking drums man.
Matt Cameron was born for Soundgarden's music... he is not a good fit in Pearl Jam. Dave A was so much better in that band
@@criticaljacques2237how can he not be good fit?
They wrote Binaural, Riot Act and Avocado with Matt
@@criticaljacques2237 no kidding and dig matt 1000%. put on Go the other night and Dave is a beast...that beginning.
Sound garden a awesome group, alot of great songs.Chris Cornell a awesome singer .May Chris Cornell RIP 🙏💐
This is a great version with the vocals progressing throughout the song. Love that 6/8 bridge section. Thanks for the upload!
I love this song. Even after 20 years it makes me feel high.
Matt is the star of this constellation....killing it! So, amazing.
i amend that, Chris put everything into it too
I’ve always thought this song would be a great opener, kind of sets the mood I think. RIP Chris, hope you finally find peace brother 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
How do these guitars know what I'm feeling...?
Matt Cameron !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The 90’s and the north west had some great music.
I'm so happy and lucky to have a Fender Jaguar,it sounds so amazing
Ben an amazing musician!!!

This might be my favourite Soundgarden Song
Oh man I fucking love Chris favorite artist of my list I cried when he passed away… I can’t believe it I saw him for the last time at a rock festival…… love you Chris…. Shit is sad bruhhh

Great little jam session midway... awesome!
rare CC moment on a Jazzmaster
One of my favorites from them❤ so different
Gosh this song is soooo good
1:44 RIP headphone users ☠️
soundgarden is criminally underrated....should have made rnr hof before nirvana/pj....pj is my fav band but only because they have more albums, and released all the great live shows
Underrated? Maybe now, but not in the 90's
One of my favorite Soundgarden songs
Amazing performance
The antics of their bassist, lol.
He’s the one who wrote this songs music and lyrics
Yep , seen this song live 3 weeks ago , thnk u sngdn

SOUNDGARDEN ROCK ON :) PLUS I LOVE THE WHITE FENDER JAZZMASTER GUITAR CHRIS IS PLAYING WITH , ROCK ON , LETS HOPE SOUNDGARDEN MAKE GOOD MUSIC AGAIN IN 2012
Sounds Brutal!
My fave sound garden track ,awesome
Love this song
Amazing talent we lost !
This song still slaps
So in case anyone is wondering what's going on at the end (where he is rubbing the guitar on the mike stand), he is basically fucking PISSED. The mic wouldn't stop interfering with something/feeding back. It happened that one time really big that hurts your ears. So he got mad and said fuck this mic and fucked the whole thing up and his guitar in the process (it smacks the ground real hard at the end, probably bent now).
miss u
Awesome!
Matt Fuckin Cameron, what a beast!
In his prime The best was yet to come
love it
One of my all time faves
Thank you so much for posting this
see that pile of mesa rectifiers stage left ? one of the great sg songs written by ben and in ye 'ol C6 dobro tuning
And Sheppard sang it on Superunknown
you're thinking of Half a Chance, but he wrote both.
Love's the Chris!
I like how harsh his voice sounds in the second verse during this performance
Great !!!!!! it's my song
You'll remember
Man, does anyone happen to have a DeLorean for rent, preferably with a flux condenser? I will park it in Oberhausen, Germany. So you can pick it up there, I would also pay the parking fees if necessary...
Τρελέ μου, λείπεις ήδη!
Ελπίζω να ηρέμησε η ψυχούλα σου πια.
RIP mic at the end lol
❤
oh my frkn g
Lol. MATT FUCKING CAMERON. Straight timing machine wtf
Written by a bassist :)
❤💯
The bass guy...he was playing for his dreams.
Ben Shepperd
🍻
his voice is buried the mix. his voice should be upfront. imagine freddie mercury's voice buried this way. imoho freddie for queen is chris for soundgarden.
Freddie for Queen is Chris for Soundgarden... doesn’t that apply to every band? I mean, they are the lead singers...
Anyone know that Fender model Chris is playing?
@dove gracias
Jazz Master
Manca !
2:50 - "das da ist ein Arschloch?"
"Der Bassman ist ein Arschlocjh". Did he do the fucking Hitler Gruss again? Fucking Ben.
Idk why but this is giving me a system of a down vibe
