- In this video we show you how to save your drive shafts on your RC model by replacing the pins. All you will need for removal is: vice, hammer, small punch. If you don’t have a press a vice will work.
For re assembly you will need: freezer, heat gun, vice.
Great vid bro. I did a similar thing. I just ground down a 3mm allen key then pressed it into my driveshaft with my vice using the same socket as you described. I didn’t have to remove my old pin as it flew out on my last bash.
Gotta get me a press.
Thanks for the great info dude. 😃👍🏼
I am having problems with my pins coming out on own 🤯☹️ front is spring steel CVDs and rear is #45 steel CVDs Idk if it because of angle on shafts or just loose from factory or what. Front and rear 🤯 must be the angle 🤔 my fireteam is jacked up 😉 huge shocks, metal arms, kraton (wider) hubs. Diffs all metal with thick fluids. Center (ear plug), 1mil rear and 500k front. Max 6 combo pushing hard with these 10000mah zeee 120c batts 😉 it's over 30lbs 🤯
U
Best way to do it is to heat em up . So it will go out much more easier
If you heat it up too much you can mess with the factory heat treatment. If it loses its temper, it will bend pretty fast.
Is that dog bone part?
LMAO thanks for the video Brotha. I just had a bud hit me up asking if I knew a way as he was ready to take the bridge. TH-cam saves the day as always.
Yes sir!
Omg guys u r amazing I have bought the drive shaft pins a couple of days ago but was struggling to remove the original ones from the shafts the vice idea is too good can’t believe I didn’t think of it n gonna give it a shot tomorrow!!! Thank you :)
Mohammed Salem glad we could help

Hi,
Very grateful for you. My rear dog bones keep popping, do you know why?
Thank you
The whole dog bones or the pins themselves?
