No warm water to defrost! I know you said people do it differently but no warm water. Bacteria can do a number in warm water and cold water actually defrosts faster. My husbands a head chef and we have a family of chefs here in New England. It’s not safe I work in market research and it’s the same strict protocol. I know my comment may seem demanding but please don’t do it.
Tip for the ginger; I buy a small ginger piece wash it and dry it snd put it in the freezer. Whole. Every time I need to use it I just use a grater ( the long one we use for grating lemon zest!) A grate what I need and put it back. Been doing that for years!
As always I am in awe of how clever you are with creating healthy, tasty meals and snacks. I'm definitely trying the "egg bites". We are an old-er couple who tries to get our mornings started with simple food that will give us energy but not too heavy. You are a wealth of knowledge that I can't wait to watch as soon as your videos come out! Kisses to those beautiful girls of yours from a Grammy type lady!!❤🥰
I've been adding ginger to everything lately. Both ginger and garlic are so great for your immunity and health. Great idea with the little cubes. So satisfying too!!
There are warnings about eating ginger and garlic together, as they are blood-thinning substances. Caution should be taken when consuming them for people who take aspirin or women during the menstrual cycle.
Adaline, I just found your channel. My family just moved to a rural area. My husband luckily works from home and we homestead. We are new to all of this and its so nice to watch your channel for ideas! Your pantry by the way is AMAZING. My husband is more the canner than me but I'm trying to learn and "get into it!" Also, I seriously think I have IBS. Im not officially diagnosed but I find that if I eat gluten/dairy, I get terrible gas (sorry to be tmi), bloating, heartburn. Seeing that you don't eat gluten and dairy is really inspirational to me. Your recipes are so helpful too. These are my eating goals! Anyway, I'm trying to make the transition away from dairy/gluten and the junk. I feel more hopeful after seeing this. Lastly, its overwhelming with having 5 kids (I think I might be expecting again, will see! lol) I feel like I'm in this never ending bad habit cycle of eating what they eat and dealing with the digestive issues (consequences.) I can't do that anymore. So I'm trying to break the habits. Sorry to spill my guts out on here everyone. Digestion issues are no fun and you just feel trapped. You feel like you can't eat anything and its so discouraging. I just feel hopeful after watching this! :) Anyway, I'll be done writing this book now. Good luck with the growth of your channel! I look forward to seeing your other recipes! :)
Just a little idea I have been doing for years and it works, after grinding you garlic/ginger/basil and any other herbs, place them in a ziplock(vacuum bag for long storage)and lay them flat, all air out and store in freezer, flat and whenever you need it, smack a piece on the counter and you are good to go!!!!!
Can you share your typical schedule? I’m struggling. I aspire to do the things you do on a daily, and I also homeschool, but we’re lacking routine and I’m drowning
Love all these ideas, some already in my arsenal. I would suggest using avocado oil in the ginger and garlic for freezer better taste. I don't cook with anything but Avocado or coconut oil, easier on my stomach. Homeschooling is so important and I'm sure an adjustment in your day to day routine.
I would love to see homeschool videos I found u channel only because I was looking for food prep videos I wanted to learn more about preping meals because i too am a homeschool mom and felt I was slacking so bad in preparing meals because of time so apon finding ur chanel and finding out u homeschooled I emidiatlly subscribed
I have found that once my sheetpan eggs have cooled you can put the individual squares on a sheet pan and freeze them individually, then put them in the ziplock bag - they won't freeze into a lump.
You don't really need the water when doing garlic. It does make them more paste-like. I hate the little cubes, so what i do is just use a small cookie scoop or tablespoon measure and just flash freeze it. I store them in a deli prep container in the freezer. I love it too.
Such great ideas, like the oatmeal muffins, such a great idea. So you just heat up and that's it? I'm a out of sight out of mind also, I have different frozen fruit bags and a frozen avocado bag-I'm gonna do just that-mix them all together and grab n go since I have a blender at work! You Rock! I like the eggs and veggie idea too.
So what temperature and how long did you cook the omelette??? Also how long do you warm the oatmeal up in the microwave? Do you eat it out if the liners or do you need to transfer it to a bowl??? Great video and great ideas btw!!!♥️♥️♥️
I am going to try those oat cups for sure, what a great idea and they look great. Just one question though, when you take them out of the freezer do you just stick them in the microwave our oven for a few mins or do you defrost them, just wondering what´s the right amount of mins to have these bake for. Love your content, such an inspiration!
Oooo have you tried oats with orange extract. At the last moment you stirr in chocolate chips. It's the most amazing thing you have ever eaten. I don't like oats. But this recipe is like a choc orange desert
I'm new to preserving, I don't can but love freezing things to whatever I need on hand at any time. I noticed your peppers had a 2022 date on them- what's the secret to getting things to last so long in the freezer? My stuff starts to look off after a few months or so. Is it getting all the air out? Thanks!
So many good ideas, I really enjoyed watching your video! I have tons of eggs and cheeses in my fridge so I'm going to make your recipe. I'm sure my family is going to love it! Thank you and God bless from Canada.1❤❤🧡⭐🍂🍁🌼🌟💛🤗
An idea. I blend my smoothie fruit and veg. Then pour into sllilcone cupcake molds. Then thaw and blend with other things as needed. Less plastic bags and less space in thr freezer
Adding olive oil to my baking sheets makes it bake on there and ruin them. Nothing I do gets it off. How do you keep you sheets clean and not have the egg stick?

If this is true can you please explain why we can defrost in the microwave?
Good safety tip
Cold water does NOT defrost faster… that goes against the laws of thermodynamics.

Throw a couple ginger cubes in the smoothie packs
Ohh love this idea!!

OMG I love the old school label maker!!!
If you mince your garlic and ginger with oil instead of water, it will last a LOT longer.
Def going to try the oatmeal "muffins" for the kiddos
I would love to hear what homeschool program you are using now!!
Can you share your typical schedule? I’m struggling. I aspire to do the things you do on a daily, and I also homeschool, but we’re lacking routine and I’m drowning
Oh my! That garlic hack is a game changer! I am totally doing that. ❤
I love it so much! I'll always do this from now on! Plus, I dont have to wash the garlic press every other day any more! 😂
@AdalineZook do you have any temp and time recommendations for reheating food in a toaster/convention oven? We don't have a microwave.
Love the video!
Yes cuz you tie up one day with prep and then the rest of the week when you're busy you're more apt to grab healthy foods instead of processed foods
Thanks! Yes, more info on homeschool please!
Great ideas! I would love to hear more about your homeschool too!
Hooray! So glad to see you back in the kitchen making freezer meals & providing that inspiration I need to do this for my family ❤ thank you!!
I'm early! Hey, Adaline! Thanks for the awesome video. Just what I needed. ❤
Thank you for being here!
I would love to see homeschool videos I found u channel only because I was looking for food prep videos

The ginger is easier to peel with the back of a spoon. Less waste and very quick to do. Hope it helps
I love the idea of canning meats, such a quick and delicious meal and you don't have to thaw the meat, and yes, so flavorful!
I have found that using a spoon to scrape the skin off of ginger to be far easier then peeling it!
I am loving you content now, I love that you are teaching your girls the better way to eat. Great work Adaline!
Ginger tea! Absolutely.
How would you warm up the oatmeal and fruit cups on the stove top?
Use a spoon to peel ginger its so much easier!
Good luck. I would always like to learn from you how to make aqueous extract of mint, cinnamon and orange. Thank you for your efforts.
Interested to hear which curriculum you are loving!
Thank you! I live your videos!!❤❤❤
Definitely looking for a good ranch recipe!
Good to see your ideas
Have a great day. God bless ❤

You are always so inspiring and my favourite youtuber!
I loved this video! Motivating and interesting!
Omg I love that seasoning i literally put it in everything too 💕
I come to your videos anytime I feel sad. You never fail to make me laugh😂😂😂😂😂
Since you don't use chapters, it would be a great help if you put timestamps in the programme notes!
New to your channels and am now subscribed to both. I would love to see a curriculum video or anything else homeschooling. 😊
For years, I’ve tried the tray thing, but bagging them has worked for me for years🙏🏼
Thanks, love these video.
Love all of these ideas!! Great do my tiny family of 2.
You can freeze cooked bacon bits as well which makes it easy to add to a dish.
Awesome job Adaline. I love your videos. The canned pork is genius!

So glad I could share helpful ideas for you! Thats awesome you have a blender at work!
Great tips but i have to ask, do you reuse your plastic bags? Taking food out of a plastic bag just to put them in another one seems like such a waste
Thx for sharing
Im definitely trying this omelet idea thank you i learned so much from your channel i now can so many items
So what temperature and how long did you cook the omelette??? Also how long do you warm the oatmeal up in the microwave? Do you eat it out if the liners or do you need to transfer it to a bowl??? Great video and great ideas btw!!!♥️♥️♥️
Please do tell , have the same questions
You should make no bake cookies...those are so good. 😊❤ love your videos.
No bake cookies are my FAVORITE!!!!!

All looks delicious! What is the name of your home school curriculum? I would be interested.

Please make more meals😊
I hope you create Vlogmas again! I remember how great that was several years ago! ✨🎃🦃🌟🎄🎅❤️💚
Great video ❤
You’re brave. I never use a mandolin without a cut proof glove.
Ginger is easier to peel with a teaspoon! I know that sounds weird but you have all your finger and less waste from it than using a peeler
Enjoyed.
How long do you cook the omelette for and what temp? Thank you. Love your channel

Do you have the link from the extract? Icant find them 🙈
How long was the egg bake in the oven? And on what temp?
Love the smoothie idea! ❤
How do you reheat the egg bake? I don’t want to use the microwave and it turns crispy in the air fryer
Can you link the cinnamon from Amazon, please?! I didn’t see it in your description!
Indo the garlic cubes as i hate chopping garlic
I’ve been watching you for awhile and love all you do. I have a question that I hope doesn’t offend you, do you live a ´modern mormon’ lifestyle?
An idea. I blend my smoothie fruit and veg. Then pour into sllilcone cupcake molds. Then thaw and blend with other things as needed. Less plastic bags and less space in thr freezer
I would like to know if you can water bath boiled peanuts and if so for how long?
yes,i wash my ziploc freezer bags after use. they arent cheap and i dont buy the genric ones, not worth the hassle.
How long do the eggbites last in freezer please?
Can you freeze avocado??????
How long does the sheet pan egg cook for?
What kind of freezer do you have to fit all this things?
A deep freezer ☺️
Link for cinnamon please ?
I am officially hungry 🤗
Great way to start my morning! Lol
Thank you for joining me!
Or you can soak the minced garlic in a glass of oil
How long did you pressure can the pulled pork?
The time for quarts of meat is 90 minutes, and it would 75 minutes for pints.
Where do you find frozen avocado in cubes?
My Kroger has them.
Walmart as has them ☺️
Walmart as has them ☺️
💜💜💜💜💜
Adding olive oil to my baking sheets makes it bake on there and ruin them. Nothing I do gets it off. How do you keep you sheets clean and not have the egg stick?
Sometimes it has to do with the quality of the cookie sheet to begin with. Lower quality cookie or baking sheets often stick very badly.
When you buy your bacon in bulk, how much does it end up costing per pound?
This is a very good quality bacon. Not thin cut and overly fatty. It comes to $3.99 a lb.
That is a great price for good bacon!@@AdalineZook

I have never seen oats made with water, we always use milk.

Have grades 4,3,1 K @ home 😅

Love you prep concept and savings for buying in bulk.
