Flamethrower provides a use for many items which aren't otherwise useful for Artificer, like Soldier's Syringe and Tri-Tip Dagger. These can bolster its already impressive damage and even allow a more traditional playstyle based around on-hit items...

I find it funny that the devs originally fumbled Artificer so damn badly that even they said that she wasn't viable

Losing Flamethrower will forfeit a huge protion of Artificer's damage and almost all of her procs. Backup Magazines and skillful use of Snapfreeze will become even more necessary than usual to recover some of the lost damage. Gathering item with on-kil effects, such as Gasoline and Will-o'-the-wisp, also helps.
They could make Localized Sun more viable if they JUST LET HER CHAKRAMS HAVE A PROC COEFFICIENT FOR ITS SECONDARY HITS DEAR GOD HOLY
Totally forgot about the mirror+primary thing being new, I've used it with her a few times since the patch and it feels so good throwing 8 of those things at once. The change fixed my biggest issue with Arti, still think her alts could use a little bit but I think she feels good now

My biggest issue with ROR returns is how easy providence is considering how unforgiving it is to get to the boss
I think the overloading enemies were too much, but the bosses felt fine. That overloading toxic beast should've killed you 3 times over. And what about the killer of all looping runs, the worm??? Its not a reminder if it doesnt do shit
Artificer and Amethyst are a busyed combo, that's been my go-to
haha you highlighted my chat about the extra mobility ability.. i personally feels artificer is more fun to play with the jumping around and the stun it provides makes the flame chakrams usable
i actually think those cremators are really unballacend. i mean, in the place that they spawned. its horrible to fight. is not that they are a hard fight, is just their area feels a little to bs to me. if you had got a overloading onde, i think your run would be over. and just because they spawned in that area
i remember trying arti before the update and she didn't really feel that good, mainly because her chakrams, now whether it was just a skill issue or something with the game is up to debate but re-trying her now, she felt way better so good job mr hopoo :)
My favorite thing about the pocket sun ability is it stacks with attack speed and procs everything better than her primary.. and if you're able to upgrade it with a certain Red Item you get two blue suns spawned at once! nasty
I haven't been able to use it successfully it just feels so off when it's attached to movement

@@doggo7175same, like especially if you’re trying to get a bunch of hits on a boss especially the last hit and you end up just walking into the boss
A little late for a reply but I found using her other abilities in con junction makes sun movement way more technical and fun. @doggo7175
For example, you can summon the sun and then start charging a nano to nearly independently control the sun while arti stays almost completely still. Same with horizontal movement on ropes.
Her primary is also an easy, free way to let the sun move ahead of you while you slow yourself down.

Recently unlocked arti and it’s very addicting
I know people love Ror2 but to me this is the far superior game. They also say rorr is way harder than ror2 but I find it the other way around. Maybe it's just because I played ror1 so much back in the day.
Rorr is very easy once you figure it out yeah, it’s just a shock to a lot of people I think

@@RacesVideos I mean you beat the run, so clearly it's not the end-all but there's definitely an ideal pace. Not that I blame you at all, three Cremators is a nightmare, had a similar roadblock once with an Overloading Lynx Totem back before the Overloading nerf. Just feels bad being stuck on something for so long.

While taking Ion Surge does lower Artificer's damage somewhat, this can be offset through good use of her secondary and by prioritizing items which synergize with her burst damage playstyle.
Even with Ion Surge and ENV Suit, it's generally best to spend most of combat on the ground. While grounded, you have more flexible movement options, can take advantage of cover, and can hit your attacks more easily. It's usually best to save Ion Surge as an escape option when you feel threatened, then quickly return to the ground to continue the fight from a better position.

I mean yeah, miner was insane.... with the burnout combo. Without it it's *awfuuul*. The scirching mechanic is just too hard to keep up with not enough payoff. It's so lame

Basically people were using the i frames of miner’s default secondary to dodge the self damage from his alt utility, getting free scorching with no penalty

Haven't unlocked it but from what I've seen it dies before firing pretty easily, great damage though and stacks incredibly well with healing and defense stuff like scarf, leech seed, scythe, cape, umbrella, etc
I used it for bullet sponge
