For full freedom of movement - that's what these shorts are made for - and high kicks it's better not to wear anything underneath.

Super export shop sells twins and its has fast shipping cause they work with dhl. I love my twins thai shorts cause my 2 pairs, one of them has 10 years and the other 7 years, I still use them to this day
I order most of my equipment from super export shop but don't think they are shipping twins product to the US yet. I recall one of their domains being seized because they were the last retailers to continue shipping to the US. One day i hope it'll be easier to get their products stateside.

I am 10cm taller and 10kg heavier and can still fit into my L sized twins shorts I used as a kid :D
I keep struggling looking for a pair of shorts. I’m 6’1 220 lbs and have a 36 waistline. I bought ones from fluory and they fit me well however, for some reason they restrict kick movements and reach. Should I look into retro style shorts?
Hey Luis, i thought i responded to this but did you try checking out fairtex?? they tend to have a bigger leg cuff. Windy tends to make shorts like that too. The last brand i would recommend is thaismai
What do you recommend wearing under the shorts, briefs or boxers? Edit: Do nylon shorts last as long as the satin ones? Because I’m leaning towards nylon because booster shorts are the cheapest I can get here in the Netherlands.
I wear boxer briefs or compression shorts underneath. I wouldn't recommend boxers lol. Nylon last way longer then satin and those nylon boosters are great shorts!

oh man, who cares what other people think- They're not the ones paying your gym bill lol. I generally don't like Venum equipment but did pick up a pair of their shorts and they are pretty cool. A little too big for me (US/Fairtex sizing) but they seem to be constructed pretty well.

Yes unfortunately. it’s made out of a fine lace material and frays quickly despite drying method :(

I think the Sak Yant shorts are okay as long as you know what it means and care about the meaning. If you’re Thai and know about the meaning then I think it’s perfectly fine to wear them and if you are white or whatever else I think it is okay if it fits you as a “warrior” since the tattoo is meant to protect the warriors. If you are a warrior or think you can take on what comes with that lifestyle then anyone wear it bjt don’t if you don’t know anything about it. )As a Thai American) mt grandpa was a Muay Thai fighter in Thailand too and I am know in US

Depends on your style. Usually the longer you train the more comfortable you’ll become with the length and will adjust accordingly . The higher the shorts the downer the foo

I'm just a little confused on what you mean by, "ribbed." are you talking the thin, differently colored line on the bottom of the retro shorts? is that the part that would cut into our thighs while running? + is that part exclusive to retro shorts, or could they be on traditional shorts as well? (for specificity, I'm looking at the BOON line of shorts.)

@@heysmilebomb411 'Ribbed' usually denotes some sort of tubing within that 'colored' line of the short. If there is not tubing, then that's just an accent color on the design of the short. I can't help you out with boon since ive never worn a pair IIRC, but from what I gather, their leg openings seem to be pretty wide. Good luck!!!
@@thaiboxinginstitute happy to report that after a few months of training and running in them, the Boon traditional cut shorts (I wore spats underneath) did not cut up my thighs thankfully, so I'd recommend them for people who have bigger thighs and/or wanna be able to run in them too!

@@thaiboxinginstitute the last time I trained was in 2012 I was doing some volunteer work at US Muay Thai in East Hollywood for less than a year I stopped because it became stressful the master/owner of the gym would hardly be there leaving me and a trainer or 2 having to run the classes giving me little time to train. I'm planning to get back into this year tho! my passion for muay thai is growing inside me!

damn that's tough! Han shorts from Muaythaifactory make up to 4XL I believe. American brands such as kill crew and Anthem make plus size muay thai shorts. Good luck man!
Does top king shorts weist size run smaller? im 31 weist in america weist size. yokkao shorts run American size which I normally get size medium. Fairtex run small i have to get large for fairtex. Does top king run small like fairtex? I wanna purchase top king shorts but i wanna get the right size.
Tough to say- I always just follow the measurements on the sites. My gripe with top kings is the length and width of the pant legs and opening

Yesterday i trained in basketball shorts and my coach told me “ey those are basketball shorts” and was like yeah😃, and i still dont understand why u cant wear them cuz theyre confy to spar but now i know was trying to say “ yo u broke the first mt rule”😭😭😭
looool- the basketball shorts bit is tongue in cheek. Truthfully whatever works to train in as long as you are in the gym and are a good partner and member. It is important to contribute to the culture but I understand if budgeting is an issue. happy trainings 🙂↕️

Any update on the twins issue ??
None so far, but i have started seeing a resurgence of online vendors selling twins again. What have been doing is messaging the stores directly through Whatsapp or LINE and shopping through message. I recently bought a ton of twins equipment through that method.

I'm a muscular 200lb at 5ft 9" I do Powerlifting so I have big quads and glutes. But a waist of 32inch or some days less!
I bought Venum shorts in a Medium, way too tight, got them in a Large they feel better but when I pretended to check a kick they start to pull me back.
I think if I go XL they are just going to go really baggy.
So I need some that allow me a wider leg.

I also have some MMA shorts made by future khumonos that are also 4xl...the fit a little snug too?...I need 1 more size up
