    Man finally, a proper video that saws how you put your hand on the bar ends, thank you my friend
    I was ready to buy the gp3(or Gs3) but I will buy the gp4

    From my experience, it's not worth it to get anything smaller than the GP4, unless you have small-ish hands. The smaller bar ends have absolutely no ergonomic shaping, so they're not nearly as comfortable to wrap your fingers around.

    I agree with you on the Ergon GP grips being the best. My only concern is the "horn". I prefer it longer so there's more to grab hold of.
    I happened to have a set of old, but quite long Cannondale XC bar-ends, which I run alongside my GP1 grips. They give me plenty to hold on to if I want to stand and crank, and I can stretch out or pull back a bit to alter my position.
    Also, I wrap the bar-ends in bar tape for extra grip and comfort, which works great.
    Cheers

    Good review. I finally understand the point of the horn. Couldn't figure out on the GP2 how it was designed for 2 fingers. Who rides like that?

      @NoZenith 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It does give you a little bit of grip if you just need to shift your hands. I ride a Brompton and I'm shopping for more ergonomic grips and most people go for the gp2 so it doesn't stick out too far and affect the fold. You can put your hand right on the end of your handlebar and you've got a couple fingers to wrap around the nub. Or, if you're not aggressively riding (Trails or mountain biking) you don't need more than just a couple fingers around the nub if you want to set your whole hand on top of your handlebar and just wrap your pinky and ring finger around it

    Good review. But is the GP4 grip with that big horn really suitable for sporty MTB biking? Also the way to the brake handles is way longer when using the horns. Not really sure for what biking style these are suitable?

    Hey Robert. thank you very much for your review. As a fellow XL glove wearer, i was curious if you found the GP4 bar end made your hands feel constricted when gripping in the neutral position (not grabbing the horns) torn between getting the GP4 or the regular GP1 because of this. if you could let me know your experience I'd really appreciate. smashed the like button for you

      Wearing XL gloves does not jam my hands against the horns.

      Robert Lagerstrom I meant in general ur hands DONT feel confined? I don’t wear gloves I just have large hands

      @@paulzampino4245 Yes and no. If you get the GP1, you get more freedom in terms of where you grip the grips. That gives you a more natural feeling as you can hold the grips at the very ends.
      If you have the bar ends, your hand is confined to a smaller space. From an ergonomic standpoint, this is a non-issue, because the bar end doesn't prevent you from holding the grip the right way. As a matter of fact, you should not be even touching the bar end when holding the grip properly, unless you have absolutely massive hands. In other words, it's not cause for any discomfort. However, if you're not used to riding with bar ends, you can be quite conscious about them for a while before you get used to them, especially if you tend to shift your hands a lot.
      In case of GP4, which have very ergonomic shape, I'm going to argue that giving away the extra hand position is not worth the extra freedom of movement the GP1 offers. But the smaller ones, GP2 especially, GP1 may be the better option simply because you don't get as much functionality from that bar end with large hands.

      I lick the insides of microwave popcorn packages really appreciate the detailed reply. Bought them a week or so a go and they’ve been great. The bar ends more so cradle my hand not really restrict it and I love the second position.

    I am looking at the Ergon grips now. But I don't understand the differences between GA, GP, GC, could you tell a little bit about it? Besides, that means the number is the length of the horn, is that for all variants? Thanks in advance!

    Have the GP4s experienced the impact of your bike falling over (for whatever reason) and striking the handlebars? I've read some say the GP4 & GP5s break easy from that. I would appreciate any feedback on that issue, thanks.
