Is this budget PCP air rifle package too good to be true? Stoeger XM1 - Range and Country

- This week we are looking at the Stoeger XM1, a super budget friendly PCP rifle that comes with scope & moderator to make a very enticing package. The rifle itself is packed full of features, including interchangeable cheek pieces, butt pad spacers, interchangeable pistol grips & much much more. All of this for less than £300 (by quite some margin too).
Is this package an absolute bargain or is it too good to be true?

Haha! Yess! Definitely will tune in for an AO comparison. Here with my popcorn! Cheers! 🍻 Tyler.
Cracking review as always and a big Thankyou for the admission that similar to or 900 and T rex. Can only describe your review as impartial.
Cheers boys.
Another great vid. 👍
The XM1 rifle is definitely regulated, I have had it apart. If you unscrew the manometer and shine torch up the air tube you will see the adjustment screw for it.
This is a really useful review - especially "These are two different rifles". Just bought one (but couldn't justify the stretch to the bullpup).
Thanks lads.
Can I say (loudly) that I love the comparisons you do - like with the GX40 is almost non existant elsewhere (Andys for example) so - MORE OF THAT PLEASE :)
Good honest review. Thank you. Morcambe and wise comes to mind. (You might have to explain that one to Lawrence Peter). Not a bad rifle. You mentioned this one when you delivered to me and my wife the other night. Still set on theT-Rex though.
Haha more like Stan and Ollie 😂
I bought my XM1 from you a month or two ago as a new shooter. It was super quiet and accurate after my brief adventure with a springer, but I cleaned the barrel after the first 1000 pellets (I bought one of the pull through kits at the range) and I noticed a significant increase in consistency.
I can now tell when its me that spoils a shot where previously I'd get some strays that I couldn't really figure out. It might be interesting to see a comparison with two new out of the box guns, one where you clean the barrel and one where you don't.
Having had the gun for a couple of months I've had no issues at all. With decent pellets I've found it astonishingly accurate for a beginner (I did try some BSA pellets which went all over the show). I'd certainly recomment it from my experience.
Thanks for the help in the shop and at the range - I've now got an extra hobby I probably didn't need 🤣
Which pellets have you found work with it the best?
@@jamesgardner6164 I haven't tried lots, but Air Arms Diablo Field and Rangemaster Sovereign have been accurate. I found the Rangemaster to hit slightly lower than the Air Arms. The BSA pellets I tried (not sure what) were all over the target with no apparent pattern!
Mine came with caps on the scope.
Take a shot every time one of the dynamic duo say yeah😅
Hi. I'm looking to purchase my first air rifle. Do you do a complete package with this like you do with the Milbro Speedmaster.
I have just purchased a Stoeger XM1 for my first PCP gun, not had one & it's a Berretta associated, there was everything included within the box, honesty I was very surprised considering the price
lets hope the bullpup is better then the reign as my reign2 spends more time at RFD being sent back to the importer then i get to shoot it been back 3 times so far not impressed .
The Stoeger has 5-year warranty in US as far as I know. Stoeger is a Beretta brand.
what does PCP mean?
Is the bul.pup a p35 in disguise?
Think I’d like to try this one. Seems to be targeted at me. 😂
Looks like pr900 parts
It is
You know that might not have been too bad of a gun if it would have had the side lever cocking like the Bullpup there nobody wants a bolt action everybody likes the side lever cocking I don't know why people don't understand this
PCP air rifles are interesting and useful for certain applications (have one). But it's sad you Brits don't have the right to own firearms.
Join the army, get to launch stuff...
@@lindsayheyes925 Watched a British crime show last week. Realized even my daughter is better armed and able to defend herself than most British police officers.
I own an air rifle, I owned a matchlock carbine and so used gunpowder, and I have fired over 140 different types of firearm - all legally, nearly all in the UK - so I am mysteriously unsad that you believe that I don't have the right to bear firearms. It's just that our regulations differ from yours so that our Police don't have to carry guns everywhere.
Interesting fact about the regulations:
I am occupationally obliged by Secretary of State's Guidance to own - and maintain my competence in the use of - a rifle. I consider the obligation to be farcical and misguided, and neglected it for years on end, but it us a fact that the Licencing Authority for my business has the power to enforce compliance.
So you see, the situation is not as those who write headlines in your country would have you believe. In the UK we have rights, regulations, obligations and sanctions just as you do, but we have a different culture - for example we do not think that judicial execution is civilised. So we too have to be vigilant for scaremongering propagandists who try to nudge our ideas to change our culture.
@@lindsayheyes925 Yep... your police "dont' have to carry guns everywhere" that's why they cower before the Hamas supporters. That's why Britain banned pointy knives. And you deceptive applied your very unusual circumstances to all your fellow citizens. Your government requiring you to maintain firearms proficiency does NOTHING to reduce violent crime or protect you day to day because your government does not allow you to carry a weapon or even defend yourself, especially if the attacker is a ME immigrant.
