    I just retired recently, and looking back on my life, it was a series of incredibly difficult challanges and it was all I could do to face daily responsibilies. But the reward for accepting every challange and surviving through it is ultimately my reward. Life is very hard, but in the end there is great satisfaction in having faced everything that I to overcome. I think ultimately that's the purpose of life.

      As a man at least 65 years old that knows how ferocious life is, how do you convey that to a young man or woman who's only 18 to 25 years old, when you know in your own heart people literally die trying to get through this life... The hardships that almost every human has to face between the years of 18 and 65 are incredible... Financial, death, betrayal, physical issues, mental issues, incredible pressure. The list goes on and on... Yet old people 65 and older just sit back on the rocking chairs and watch the young people knowing what is ahead of them.... Knowing they themselves barely survive this and could have died many times....

    • @JFairhart
      @JFairhart ปีที่แล้ว +10

      @@johnshaw3285 - John that was my intent to convey that no matter what challanges a person may face, it's the willingness to accept every challange and with grace overcome all of them, or at least most of them. That feeling of overcoming is the reward. I hope it's a helpful message to the younger generations.

    • @johnshaw3285

      @@JFairhart Yes sir it is a positive message but at the same time if you don't overcome you're going to get destroyed it's almost like you don't have a choice. The battle is incredible to make it to 65 plus and look back and be incredibly satisfied That's if you make it to 65 if if... I guess you just really have to try your best to minimize the regrets as best you can.

      Jordan Peterson is a POS who alternates between being a crypto-fascist and a waffling grifter whose banal, useless advice is somehow seen as clever, presumably due to his (irrelevant) qualifications in psychology, and tendency to use formal language, often to such an extent that he just waffles on and on. As for his lectures, he has referred to the 3rd reich as the 4th - a common neo nazi reference to the continuation of the original nazism which ended in 1945 - , asking “why would you assume hitler wanted to win?”, acting as if Jewish people and other “undesirables” weren’t forced to work, etc. He has also claimed that nazi Germany was somehow an atheistic state, even though atheists were killed for not believing in any deity or deities. So no, his lectures aren’t any better. He also thinks that Jews are over represented in the media - a common (erroneous) nazi conspiracy - and this is why they perform better in IQ tests, even though 1. IQ is garbage as a measure and 2. It was created to justify racism, by racists. He has praised Milo Yiannopoulos (even after his pro-pedophilia comments came out, though even before then, he was still far-right PoS, so there aren’t any excuses either way), appeared on Stefan Molyneux’s show - a known far right deplorable POS, “race scientist”, etc. who has been banned from all mainstream platforms due to the aforementioned - AND has agreed with him on certain matters such as IQ differences between the races - a favourite talking point of the far-right to justify things like racial segregation. He has also been on Lauren Southern’s show, likewise a far right POS who, for example, attempted to stop refugee ships from entering Europe. He has appeared on Ben Shapiro and Stephen Crowder’s shows multiple times, both of which having had Gavin McInnes - leader of the far-right paramilitary group The Proud Boys - on their shows. He also promotes the far-right, extremely antisemitic “cultural Marxism” conspiracy theory on numerous occasions, and believes that women wear makeup purely for sexual-purposes - an entirely false statement - and as such, they should not complain if they are sexually harassed while wearing make up. The only “good” he is doing is promoting far-right and conservative ideas - everyone who disagrees with a conservative is a Marxist, certain college courses should be banned, women are manipulative beings whose only purpose is to engage in sexual acts and to be a maid, etc. This is good for turning normies into misogynistic fascists, and nothing else. Even when he isn’t being a fascist POS, his self-help advice is extremely banal grifting purely intended to make himself wealthier; and to radicalise more people because he often interpolates basic advice with conservative ideas and such. All of the evidence points to Peterson’s being on the far-right - this is simply how it is. I - and all of the others - who rightfully condemn him as a member of the far-right have looked at all of the evidence against him and have thus quite easily determined that he is, in fact, a member of the far-right. I will include some helpful links to relevant TH-cam videos which expand on my points.

My husband unexpectedly passed away due to medical mistakes on the 26th! Talk about serious life changes... I almost committed suicide, the pain and loneliness were so overwhelming. I had completely given my life to the Lord Almighty some years before. What pulled me back from that cliff, was the knowledge that I don't have the power to give myself life, and my life doesn't belong to me. Therefore I don't have the right to take it away. My time to go into eternity will come. In the meantime, I have work to do, and I have the promise of joy. It's coming.

    That is SO true. Life will throw the most unexpected curve balls your way and yes you will go through a period of feeling quite helpless but if you have that inner meaning in your life it lifts you, you accept the challenge and then find a way to make the best of it and move forward. It gives you resilience. I remember my sister in law saying to me when I developed an auto immune disorder of Alopecia Areata, at the time I was Alopecia Unversalis, like a plucked chicken - not a hair in sight: 'but you seem so happy?'. I was well, what else must I be? I've cried my tears, I have mourned the loss of my luscious locks. I stopped asking why me and asked why NOT me? It's turned out to be such a blessing of inner growth. Yes the storms hit, but you learn to rise higher the storm, pull out your figurative surf board and ride those frothy white horse high waves. After my dad's alcoholic death when I was six it was a tsunami storm, but My mom pulled me, my brother, her mom through it without going losing her marbles. I've asked her before - how did you do it? And her reply was, well Leazy I didn't really have much of a choice. Your life is what YOU make of it. And yes technically I'm half deaf but the amazing technology of my hearing aids is mind blowing to me. Mine are the Phonak Vitus and they give me 3d hearing, I can hear birds again, I can communicate and connect with people again. My audiologist can't guarantee whether or not my hearing will get worse or not or at what rate it will. If it hits severe and I have to have cochlear implants - well then so be it. I'll walk around with magnets in my head - just don't get my head too close to the fridge door in case it gets stuck to it...😄
