What is discouraging is seeing how this video is performing. It is a heartfelt video sharing your experience. Out of the 51 views, you only got four likes. Especially for smaller channels, the nice thing would be to like the video and leave a comment. Even if you did not like the video, leave a comment as to why. Your production value is good. Your background set is as good as it gets. I wish you continued success. I currently have a smaller channel and thinking about starting a new on that will have a more niche audience. I enjoy shooting video but have not established a good work flow that will turn my hours of recording into a healthy TH-cam channel. Sad face.

I feel the same way too! Seeing that hours of your work don't convert into solid results provokes thoughts on whether TH-cam should be the priority... one thing that helps is pursuing a goal outside of the growing channel. It's a great consequence but when it's the goal, it's messes up with you.

Interesting insights Ana! I just subscribed (one of your videos was in my home page and it got my curiosity up!). I just monetized this channel (my second) and what I did was post long-form videos every day (I did some shorts for the weekend and missed one or two days but still) for 30 days and that helped get me monetized (I has around 3k views at that time). I never thought of using paid ads so thanks for sharing that! Can't wait to check out more videos of yours!

In my case once I posted a new video, the views on the one I posted before this one were dropping (later on there were some organic views but still the drop was pretty sharp). Still can't figure out whether more videos means faster growth. What was it like for you?

@@anabusinesstips I have no clue, I just kept publishing and the views came...I think the new video just goes to the people's home pages and that's how I got views. The only videos that didn't get much views were the ones about TH-cam! But my more recent YT videos are doing slightly better.
