Hello mate great to see more (if slow!) progress. It’s interesting to see you turn it into a track Fez. Looking forward to seeing the next vid mate. 👍🏻
Best part of the video was definitely watching you try and get from the underside of the cage 🤣🤣. And i definitely can fault greenlight they insure both of my cars and iv been so happy woth them
It’s not all about horsepower. It’s about handling You don’t need much power if you can handle every bend fast, which means you can outbreak all the other cars and go round corners quicker
@@GTiR23 had a Loeb edition on cams and on air at one point. Really usable power which makes them really fun. Just a more refined Saxo. It’s ‘that car’ which I shouldn’t have sold.
Great Video Lee. If you need any st180 parts, let us know we have just had one come in for parts 😎 There is an easy way to get these airbags off to. I will create a how to guide for those who are interested
im sorry lee but he is just wrong about insurance. I use comparison sites for years, I will tweak the details to get the best quote, saying that the comparison site will detect this I find very hard to believe. I think hes just trying to show greenlight are good. In reality none of the specialist insurers I've seen have ever been close to a comparison quote (but that may just be my experience). Whats your honest opinion Lee, as insurance is a huge part of owning and driving the cars we love so much.
I’ve worked in the industry for insurers that feature on comparison sites. I can say with confidence that manipulating the data entered in a quote before purchase is something that is available and can be checked easily. That doesn’t mean every single quote gets flagged as there are legitimate reasons why people make changes to quotes, but the information is certainly available to an insurer should they want to query it or remove themselves from competing for the business.
@@matth5838 why would they not want to insure you for this reason? for example mileage, I'm going to pick the cheapest mileage within a range and try a few to see which is best. You say manipulating the data, I dont think thats fair to say if were just changing some variables to get a good quote as long as all details are correct. What do you think , and what other info can you share with us about insurance? thanks matt
@@Matt-we7sithey do have detection software. You have to remember your personal details are the same with every quote. Certain things are changed like mileage and parking overnight etc. These guys aren’t daft they know exactly what to look for.
He has no reason to lie about comparison sites, greenlight don’t even operate on them! My experience is the comparison sites are useless, especially if you have a modified car, I’ve been with greenlight for the last 8 years and haven’t been anywhere else. I ran one quote out of curiosity on a car 2 years ago and it was TRIPLE the cost of what I was paying with Greenlight🤯
@ this is why not every quote is checked because there are many legitimate reasons to vary details, so as long as what you proceed with is factually correct, then it isn’t an issue. The vehicle, mileage, use, experience, address, overnight location, occupation, licence, claims and convictions are all rating factors that influence the level of risk and premium as a result. This does make quotes open to manipulation and as you might imagine, this isn’t always based on truth. Some insurers will just remove themselves from the quoting panel if there are enough changes made as they don’t want to take the risk.
Awesome video, love this style of content. But surely if this is going to be a time attack car you want race car parts on it, full cage, OMP wheel etc??
I called Greenlight a while back and the man I spoke to was unbelievably rude and really came across as a ‘know it all’. Such a shame as there aren’t many modified car insurance companies out there.
I tried to get insurance through Greenlight just over a year ago and was told they wouldnt insure me until I'd owned the car (Focus ST TDCI) for a year because they didnt believe i was experienced enough for the power of the car.
Green light have always been miles too expensive for me on both of my modified cars. I’ve been with sterling now for around 3 years which is literally half the price
If only it was as easy as calling a specialist. Even at 45 with no claim or points ever. I had to use a mainstream insurer as no specialist would cover where I live due to where I live including Greenlight. Black listing areas i just don’t agree with. Insurance is a big problem in the UK and something seriously needs to be done to improve the industry for customers of any age and any car.
@@baldmonkgaming4359 this was an insight to the behind the scenes of car insurance on a relevant topic of why these cars get stolen, this is information you can’t get anywhere else. There was not one bit of ‘promoting’ in there
its quite literally the same everywhere - insurance prices doubled in the last couple years and you always need to shop around and haggle with the insurers especially modified ones.
It’s all a scam. Why is it cheaper if you want your insurance for 4 weeks time rather than straight away? For new drivers that means you will be 4 weeks without driving since your test, therefore being a worse driver by the time you get back in the car. Why is it more expensive to put less miles down? Why is it more expensive if you say you haven’t bought the car yet? Why is a lower powered 06 plate fiesta double the price of a higher powered 06 plate Corsa for a first time female driver?
Lee this was a step above your usual content mate. Appreciate the effort you must have put into producing it

I edited it that way, didn’t wanna stay on the subject for 20 minutes

You rarely need to change flywheel mate only clutch , flywheel most expensive part . U only change flywheel if wear clutch out big time
Safe and sound Droylsden?
Custom made flat bottom steering wheel that, made by Sebastian Okon 👍🏼
Why not get a CV joint instead of full shaft
Its awful geting them air bags off its a shocking design ive been there over an hour myself before 🤣🤣🤣

Why not use a thread chaser
What happened to the Aston Martin??
Sold on by the other bloke who went halves with him. Lee did a video a while back covering this as he was sick as a 🐕 and couldn’t work on it

Does that mean you’re driving around on a stolen driveshaft?😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

One thing to note with Greenlight is that they don’t insure BMW’s !! In 2025!! Pisstake
Don’t buy a BMW then! 😂
