It’s so amazing to me that we actually get entertainment from watching businessmen and women talk about investment but it’s their chemistry that makes this the best reality show ✨💯😂
Yeah....Chris' points about Toor's lockbox and that bluetooth lockbox code could be altered were very valid, imo. It does seem like a bluetooth lockbox without a key could be made and allow the consumer, without an agent, to open the door if the seller of the house agreed.
If the scholly guy asked for a lot more money they would’ve asked more questions. It was all about the 40k to potential ratio which made them jump right into it.

@@MH-wm6df re-watch maybe? its fascinating to watch a guy like him especially when you are introverted and got low confidence and prolly many more reasons, but these were mine
The first guy was just someone with clear intentions and a big heart. He deserves the support of Damon and Lori and it's definitely not a charity offer. It was a little uninformed for Lori and Damon to jump in with little info but Mark does that a lot too especially with vegetarian food options. The second guy was a really great salesman and his presence feels impressive. You can see he's done some training on sales and has had great experiences in the space. Look at the different hand forms he's exhibited throughout the interrogation. That's a staple in public speaking.
Even if it was a charity case like the white guys said it was (and I don't think it was), it's Damon and Lori's money! Let them use it however they want!
Mark does not scoop when there isn’t enough information out. Lori literally stopped him and gave an offer, she literally admitted to not having all the information… so what exactly are you saying?
Mark does not scoop when there isn’t enough information out. Lori literally stopped him and gave an offer, she literally admitted to not having all the information… so what exactly are you saying?
It's not a charity offer, they're forcing him to go before the other sharks make a higher offer once they find out how the business works. Lori is trying to undercut everyone else.
It's kinda the same logic with Mark Cuban sometimes. They are usually right, but they execute it wrong with their attitudes. (Although then again that is for drama purposes I'm sure lol)
You call that class? LOL. Incapable of not talking over each other, incapable of actually LISTENING to what each other have to say, incapable of using perspective skills and finishing a disagreement without one storming off... You Americans are easily impressed.
Chris is such a child my lord, the unnecessary arguing does absolutely nothing for his image. I feel embarrassed for him, but I don’t know if he’s able to feel embarassment with such a thick skull.
My kids' daycare used Brightwheel and we LOVED it. It made my day to get updates and pictures of my kids while I was at work. It helped me feel so connected. My kids are now in school and I miss it so much.
Unless there are competitors, I’m pretty sure I toured a house with Toor lockbox a couple months back. It was my favorite tour, even though we ended up seeing better houses. Having the ability to tour a house with just me and my spouse really took the stress out of touring.
I’ll say, I don’t know if Chris was right with TOOR, sure the business flopped, but the idea he was wrong about. If the guy made a better creation, with the same patent I believe it would’ve flourished. He was being closed minded, but just got lucky.
8:55 scholly was sold for $40k for 15% it’s currently worth $1.5 million after the airing of the show scholly received 80k request within 2 hours it currently has over 850k downloads the price went from $0.99 a month to $4.99 a month the app current rating is 3.7 out of 5
Mark, Kevin, and Robert were absolutely correct about the first deal. Daymond and Laurie threw money at the guy without even giving him a chance to really explain anything. It felt like they were trying to just shut him up before he could even get the chance at a potentially better offer.
Not totally accurate. Yes, I believe they wanted the deal for themselves, but they were absolutely just in making their offers when they did. Sometimes the basic concept of something is enough to know that: A) It’s filling a gap in a market B) It’s innovative C) It’s scalable All of which this company was, and proved to be. The basics of making the backend work are super achievable, especially with their connections.
It felt like charity. They could have at least given him the opportunity to actually sell his business. Personally I'd of felt like I was treated like a child who they just want to shut up.
Yeah. I heard the business didn’t do well, but his personality seems really great for this sort of stuff. If he could speak to all of the people on earth at the same time selling his product, everyone would buy one or two, even if they live somewhere where they have to spend years just to get the money to afford it. He’s a great sales guy.
the real estate guy knew how to play the sharks egos. he answered questions thoroughly, he always said great question, he's attentive, quick on his feet had a story. that dude can really sell.
Mark is right about the lock box. The software is the sauce, the software is replacing the agent and there's no software for that other than this new lock box, it has a lot of potential if patterned. The software can be integrated into real estate platforms since it already has a ready to go hardware.
solution for the problem is ok , i meant theres market for this product , but in reality theres more elektronic key then traditional one, why dont he just connect the software on to electronic key 😁, thats Chris wants to argue with mark about this, but he just cut it out 🤣
Chris had a point. There were better and more complete solutions already available back then in which you could actually see and talk to a real person that could let you in the house and follow you around, all remotely.
"Keys are going away in 2-3 years" Chris really is the perfect example of a silicon valley elitist who thinks the whole world works like his little tech bubble does. Absolutely insufferable.
Cars used to had to use keys to mechanically unlock them, now you'll use a bluetooth car key or even a card on new Tesla models. Keys will eventually go away but yea 2-3 years seems too optimistic
The part I find the most hilarious from this is during the Toor portion, everyone except Chris understood that the reason the product he was trying to invest was so good wasn't actually because of the lockbox itself but rather the time you save in viewing the house. They kept pointing out to him that it could take days to weeks just to view the house after getting ahold of an agent. But this guy made it so if you were interested in the property, all you had to do is just walk up and request a private walk through of the property that day, not waiting days to weeks to find out it's not what you're interested in.
No. His point was the company that makes those Bluetooth lockboxes, that already have the relationships and sales in place, could take the couple months required to add a new line of code (make an app) so that customers could do it on their own. His point was the success the guy could potentially have would be short lived. That’s even if he could make deals with the companies that already have relationships with the lockbox makers. Why do you think Barbara said the deal was contingent on them selling a mass amount to a large chain company? Cuban is my favorite shark but the sniveling valley guy was actually right here.
@@luka2549 wait you serious? I figured his company would just merge with another company that's already been established. I'm shocked with such a brilliant added feature could fail so quickly.

Yeah I usually like Lori but man… she’s completely misunderstanding the whole thing. It’s not that the other sharks don’t think it’s important, it’s that they want to make sure that what they are investing in is safe and reliable. Plus, one of the best parts of the show is seeing how the sharks question the validity of the products/companies, so this whole “make the deal now, details later” argument from Lori defeats one of the biggest purposes of the show. Not totally accurate. Yes, I believe they wanted the deal for themselves, but they were absolutely just in making their offers when they did.
