just an update: took my pcx for a ride from the valley floor thru the foothills up to about 8,000' in the sierra nevadas using secondary highways. good roads minimal traffic made it a great trip. except on the steepest of hills had no problem staying with traffic, mostly going 55-65mph. covered 185 miles on 1.7gal, so looks like 108+mpg. fun ride. great scooter, and not just for the weekday commute
The way you wrote sounds like you had no problems maintaining 65 mph on steepest of hills? The PCX will slow down to 15 mph wide open throttle on many big hills and will barely reach 65 down hill. Perhaps you meant something else but since you didn't use punctuation, there is no way to read you correctly.
@@john21031 no punctuation? commas and periods don't count? its fairly obvious what my points were. but i digress. on the steepest hill on mormon emigrant trail i did slow down to 45, and i think to 50-55 on another or two. i don't find that to be a problem, but perhaps you do. it was a ride to see the scenery, not 'get it done as fast as i can' thing. i didn't ride the throttle all the way since 1 or 2 mph isn't worth the wasted gas. on flat or even a slight incline it will top out, but i try not to go over 65 (the limiter kicks in at about 68 or 69). hope that clears the fog

Goit my icence vack late lasn year. My first scooter was a 2014 PcX150. I picked up my new one the other day. It is a good fit for me. Still got most of the protective gear I had before. My hekmet was in need of being replaced. So i did that too. Realy enjoying being mobile again.
Looks pretty awesome. I have a Honda Elite SA 50, but I've been wanting something more substantial. I don't have a motorcycle license, so I gotta make it a point to get licensed. Then I want to try a test ride on one of these. We will be headed into winter soon, so I'm in no hurry. 0% for 3 years would be awesome. I'm in Colorado and I welcome any pointers on picking one up. Love how it looks, but I do want to make sure I like the feel of the ride though.
been decades since i've ridden, so i got mine the first part of april. fun to ride and crazy economical. if i keep it under 50 it gets between 103 and 109mpg. and im sure if i didn't weigh almost as much as it does it would be higher. on a flat road it gets up to 68mph. quite fast enough for a scooter. did notice one thing different from the one you have .. mine has the catch that slides over the rear brake lever. is there an a/b model, or different assembly plant, or just whatever the assembly line decided to do on a particular day? anyway, its a nice little bike. definitely like the red better than the bronze!
): i want one i live in palm springs california. My issue is i don’t know where theres a scooter dealer... i want to see it in person, i cant decide wether i want the yamaha smax or this one
@DIYyourWorld there is a store in banning that deals with honda. scooters are not always readily available so it might have to be ordered, and could take a while. the yamaha gives you a little more performance (but its still a scooter), and the honda gives about 20mpg more. honda might be $100 less but that shouldn't be a factor. imho the honda looks a little sleeker
Why can’t they make a scooter the size of this PCX 150 with the engine of the Yamaha TMAX 560. That would literally be the perfect scooter. These companies are making the higher hp scooters way to big.
@Rez when you use bigger engines you defeat the main purpose of the scooter which is lightness and mileage. if you want a real freeway machine then get a real motorcycle. the pcx has plenty of power for local streets and will go 65+ for the freeway but its not meant for that
In india honda just launch the flop bikes and scooters even peoples are ready to pay more but honda just looting the indians.... Otherwise everywhere honda launch amazing bikes and scooters

With the rear wheel turning you are adding mile to the odometer. Just set the parking brake. Top speed 65MPH.
