That's called stunning. If Link has his shield up and a strong attack hits him, it will make him stumble back a bit, but no damage is taken. It is most commonly seen when fighting Darknuts, Aerofols, and Ganondorf. So to speak, it happens a lot, and no, it's not a hack.

its not the strongest but it is the most efficient. it does 18 of damage which is a shit ton. this is based of a system I researched althought i ahve found htat its different with certain enemies but ususally I apply this wooden sword equals 1 unit of damage x2 ordon and another x2 Master sword. great spin deals 4.5 with wooden sword 9 with ordon and 18 with master sword
I literally got to the last part of the cave, then drank purple chu juice and it brought me down to a quarter of a heart. The magic armor couldn't save me.
Yeah. I always thought that it was baffling that, although the most popular version, there is much less online footage of it in comparison to GC and HD. I know GC is good for speedruns and HD is good for streamers, but the Wii version is one of the most successful Zeldas, so its lack of footage is so odd to me.
I agree with the people who say the hardest room is the one with the huge ice monsters. I can never get past it without being frozen at least once. Nice work!
This video makes for a great guide on when you should use bomb arrows/arrows/other consumables and when it's just not necessary for some rooms. I'm not surprised you did this on the Wii version seeing as the spin attack is just a wrist flick away, not to mention the superior aiming in this version as well, but this is going to be a bit more difficult for me seeing as I'm playing without a Wiimote... Now do Cave of Shadows. XD Edit: Got through most of the video before realizing this is his second run (I caught on when he was facing 4 Darknuts at once...) and I just couldn't help but wonder why anybody would do this to themselves. This is honestly very impressive. I won't lie, the room that most people say is the hardest is the room with 5 darknuts, but in my opinion(and sorry i don't know their names, I haven't played this game in years) the one room with the 3 HUGE Ice monsters and the 15 ice spearmen. That room always ruined my attempts at a no damage run
i think the same. ice enemies were the worst. but even a keese (bat) would get me now and then. im they're difficult to keep track of. the flying lizalfos room too.
Ice room is cheaper while last darknut room is harder because it takes a lot of time and theres more room for error. But if its not a no damage run the last room is harder in general
It's four darknuts instead of three when you come back to play through Ordeals again. Put differently, it's 3 the first time, then 4 every iteration afterwards.
Hella skilled. Powerful performance! 👏 Cave of Ordeals must be the best challenge in all 3D Zelda (maybe with trial of the sword on Master Mode). I wish TOTK had such a satisfyingly difficult challenge that forces you to use all your resources and play your very best.

Omg, this video just saved me so much pain and misery. I reached the last floor with only 4 and a half heart remaining. My strategy against these dark knights is that I didn't have a strategy, I just jumped around them and hoped to get an opening. But, thanks to the video, I learned an actual way to fight them, and somehow I managed to do it fast enought to succeed, tho I had only 3/4 heart remaining. It was my second attempt only, and the first one was before I even started snowpeak ruins, so I couldn't go very far. So I'm very proud of myself, but also exhausted. I could have saved my myself a lot of trouble if I had known that bomb arrows could destroy those ice knights that throw spears.

actually if you look closely it hit his shield. i have had that kind of thing happen to me before, i believe that its a form of parry when you and an enemy attack at the same time, or when you manage to pull out your shield at just the right moment. btw, after i do a playthrough of this game, im going to try and do a secondary playthrough as ironman challenge.
when you target doesn't your shield get pulled up as well? its been over a year since i last played so im unsure. Ironman challenge is playing through any single game without dying once, now, if i can pull off no hit challenge, that'd be insane XD

Also, I'm challenging myself to beat cave of ordeals likes this: 1 Quarter of a heart (you know what I mean right?) 2 ABSOLUTELY NO SKILLS. (But, the fatal blow skill since it's obligatory) 3. NO SHIELD 4 ORDON SWORD ONLY. This makes this challenge INCREDIBLY HARD. I have tried this about 58 times always fail on the ice parts. So far I have waste 98+(in total of course) hours of my life doing this almost EVERYDAY. Just spreading the idea if you wanna try it. But, I'm telling you it's a nightmare dude😣😔. @@Sioniz Hi, i record it using some capture device from avermedia, i think its much more easy to record on wii u since most of that devices features HDMI instead old AV, it sounds pretty intresting i could try to do on your terms... but no longer have that capture device available to do some old console recording XDD
@@Sioniz yes, a laptop, the device conects to your tv hdmi and to your laptop hdmi port, downoad the avermedia app in your laptop, and from there youre able to control what are you recording, your files etc, you can get more info at avermedia (thats the brand i use, but there are looooot more of capture devices)
It was to prove it wasn't hacked. A lot of people think it is hacked because Link was stunned by Darknut and waved his shield and everybody is blind and deaf so they didn't see blue sparks and hear the shield strike sound effect and think its hacked.
@@kikearth In Wind Waker the color differences indicated how many sword hits it would take to put the darknut down and how much damage the darknut would do. With black and red being the strongest. In TP Darknuts are so OP that the color of their armor really doesn't mean much.

Nice Video but there is one problem: Which Version of Twilight Princess is that? You can not aim AND walk at the same time with the bow in Twilight Princess. Not in the GameCube-Version, not in the Wii U-Version and certanly not in the Wii-Version.
Sry but i playd all three version, right at the moment the HD-Version for Wii U and made the cave just yesterday [the reason why i watch your video] and it is not possible. In Skyward Sword yes, but not in Twilight Princess. I realised this after i put Twilight Princess again in my Wii right after i played Skyward Sword in 2011 to see if there are any big improvements besides the motion controls between Twilight Princess on Wii and Skyward Sword. And one of the first things i noticed was that you can aim and move at the same time with the bow in Skyward Sword but not in Twilight Princess. And i don't think that' s different between the japanese, NTSC- or PAL-Versions [my are PAL]. The same is for the Nintendo Selects-Version. If you say me how you do it in the Wii-Version i try it again if you will.

Strangely it is not mentioned in the manuels of both 2006-versions and afaik not mentioned in the game itself, i looked after i tried it again. But that is not an excuse at all, i hope you accept my apology. It is a great video and i learned something over a game i played long und loved since its release. Simply mind blowing.
It wasnt a hack. 1. He proved it wasnt hacked by letting himself get hit at the end, and 2. His shield was up. That is called a stun, and if he was hit again he would have taken damage. A strong attack stuns link and his shield is disabled for a second.

There is a difference between no DAMAGE and no HIT. In the ZSR no damage ruleset, it is okay to block hits as long as you do not lose HP. In the ZSR no HIT ruleset, blocking with shield is not allowed. However since this video is No Damage, shield stuns are fine provided you don't lose HP.

Why should the aim be better on Wii? The WiiU also has motion controls with the gamepad ^^
