A comparison between this and the IETS GT500 5000rpm would be greatly appreciated, I got the IETS 2 weeks ago or so and it has been performing amazing, granted I did pay 100€ for it which hurts a bit, but can't complain about the results. Sometimes dropping my temps by 26ºC which is insane, this one doesn't seem to drop as much so I'd be interested in seeing how it stacks up!
@@jlb4685 Yeah it is loud, however after placing my laptop on top of it while it is at 100%, it's not that annoying, though this will vary from person to person on their noise tolerance. was deciding between the two and yea the reviews for gt500 show temps drop by up to 20 which is insane, i know it's loud but i game with decent headphones so why not, just ordered it, can't wait
They need to start supporting over 17.3 inch. Three 4090 gaming laptops were released this year. I got the alienware m18. I'm struggling to find a cooling solution. The fans in the laptop are huge and set right at the edges of the laptop (rear left and right) the foam on this item seems it would cover some of the two laptop fans probably increasing temperature. I can't find a decent sucking cooler for this laptop.
Looking at the Temps, it looks like the gt500 is better as it drops the temp by avg of 15°C but the klim drops about 5-10° max I have ordered the iets gt500 I will receive it in around 10 days soo if possible I will keep you updated🤝
Thanks man. Do you think this would be a better alternative to the IETS GT500 because they apparently don't really funnel air into the intake vents of the Lenovo Legion laptops which are further back? Thanks.
nice videoi! finally something of interesting about these cooling pad. Recently i bought Alienwre m17 r5, i have ridicolous cpu temperature, but my primary problem is the loud fan! I can't play. You didnt talk about the difference of fan noise.. If i use this cooling pad can i set the laptop fan in quiet mode? thanks
Until you get a cooling pad (and if it doenst work good enough) you should try to disable cpu turbo boost. The performance barely goes down but the temperature drops by almost 30 degrees!
How does the KLIM Everest differ in tested performance to the KLIM Mistral? Is it worth getting one of these coolers for a Legion 5 Pro Ryzen 7 with RTX 3070 laptop?
Yes it does help ! There are some where the fans are not powerful enough so there is little to no difference in temp . 5-10 degrees is a win in my book !
I have a question about the deflectors on the back. How do they actually help? Are the vents at the back circulating hot air out of the pad and that’s why you put them in to stop it from going back in? Just need clarification 😂 thank you in advance

Would this work for asus g14? The g14 when open gets propped up a bit by the screen. The foam is to seal the laptop to the pad. So there would be a gap between the foam and the laptop correct? Would it be less affective?
One question, why iets and klim have similar products? I just discovered these two brands and I find it a little weird. Is one a budget version of the other? Or one is a knock off?
despite of the favouring review, the performance test says it all. It barely drops the temperature by a few degrees. For that kind of money it is just not worth it.
I guess you pay what you get the IETS costs 100 euro and it's good all this chinese cheap pad are not the efficent to really cool down your laptop can help but not more than thtat
