I wanna recommend using grease…but not on the scalp…use it on the length of the hair…which is technically dead…the grease helps with coating the strands so they don’t break easy…retention is also essential to growth….so I use a moisturizing cream after I wash then coat the hair lightly in grease
I think Royalcyn should cut you a check. Because of you, I bought so many for myself and directed friends and family who also bought their products. I have seen a lot of results because of you, thank you
Yes! My favorite product! I’ve been using Unlay 6 months now and I’ve seen so much growth! My hair looks so healthy! Thanks Ianna Yvonne for putting us on!
Since you mentioned protective style for 3 months is the game changer I have personally witnessed a dramatic effect on my hair. The reason why it's difficult to follow or continue this protective process is afterwards I'm annoyed at myself for not adhering to the total amount of oil and the correct moisture my hair needs to maintain length. During that process you still have to wash your hair without taken hair out of the protective style.? This is the ultimate aim once you understand that you your tresses, locks or whatever name you call your baby. This stage is the ultimate goal of non touching. Bagging method or wrapping the hair is brilliant. At the end of the 3 months using finger and oil for detangling my hair experiences less breakages plus it must be taken out in stages. ? WHAT? YES it cannot come out same day like the same way you began 3 months ago it as become matted. Warm oil on the scalp inside the shower is the method of a saint . lol don't pull or thug. When resistance occurs use scissors to cut the knot. ? WHAT? YES if you continue using oil and it remains resistant cut. ? Otherwise your hair will tear plus the pulling and tugging will damage your scalp. Now I can use replenishing shampoo followed by replenishing conditioner. Finally deep conditioning without deep conditioning using a wide teeth comb I must not thug my hair and it must begin at the tip of my hair working my way up to the scalp.
Left out a main factor, correction from inside out. Your water intake, diet and vitamins. Especially if deficient in zinc, vitamin d. Also correcting deficiencies within will play a huge part of scalp health! Which in return gives you healthy hair growth. Keep in mind genetics do play a part and everyone will not achieve the length of the next, be patient and realistic will help achieve what works for you.
Having a healthy diet is great in itself. It didn't help my hair but of course I won't say don't eat a balanced diet. We should. But it didn't help my hair. Helped my skin though
Knowing that genetics affects how your hair grows, it’s density(thickness, how fine, etc) is a given, and we can’t change that. I was simply giving a tip of something you can change and that’s diet/ vitamins ! Good for skin and hair. Also ladies I’ll never try to sell a pipe dream, there is no magic pill.
I currently use olaplex which is amazing! After watching one of your videos this week, I purchased Living Proof Restore Repair. Later that same day, I went to my local salon to get a blunt hair cut. The stylist said are you sure. I replied, "yes. I am sure." My hair cut is beautiful...now, I want it shorter, lol. While at the salon, a woman said she was having issues with her hair. I told her to try Living Proof Restore Repair. I pumped a little of the Living Proof and applied it on my hair. My hair felt silky soft. Thank you for your tips!
I can relate to scratching the scalp before washing! LoL those were the days. Haven't done that since I was a kid. I love how your video is short and informative
Ianna thank you so much for the tips! I have been following you for about a month and I am already seeing a good amount of growth. So so happy I found your channel. I’m finally seeing results.
Hi Gorgeous! Ianna, I did not know you had a channel. So glad to see you are doing your thing and doing it well! It’s been about 20 years. Big Up! New Sub, looking forward to your content. 🙌🏾💗

Hey Ianna!!! Man... thanks for these tips. I live in Jamaica. . i have Seborrheic dermatitis 🙆♀️🙆♀️ and my scalp can get really flakey at times.. so before i shampoo i would scratch my scalp which is soooooo satisfying. But you are right i do get bruises and burns with just shampooing. I will be trying some natural oils. Thanks much👍
shouldn't be scratching, good dandruff shampoo keep your scalp clean by washing weekly helps, I used to struggle not anymore, i use jojoba oil on my scalp
Hi Ianna, thank you for another great video! Can you explain what " restores hair to prerelaxed state" mean? It was at 2:14 in the video. Thank you so much
Okay so now that optimum is no longer making a relaxer what relaxer do you use? My other question is this with everything that you recommended I cannot use products that have too much protein in them or coconut oil can you do a video on things that are like that I can't use protein or coconut oil coconut oil I'm allergic to can't eat it can't use it just need a little help thank you😁
Thank you so much. My Unlay...is on the way!! I also bought Rosemary oil fory thinning in my crown. What type of oil did you say you dilute it with? I have organic olive oil...will that suffice? Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks again for motivating me to begin my hair journey.
Hello Ianna 👋. I liked you the first day a watched your video. My hair actually grows very long, currently it's mid length but very thin. I have started relaxing my hair twice a year but still. What can I do please. I'm Olivia
Hey Olivia! Thank you for watching 💕 my hair was just like you described. Long but thin. I have a short video on my channel about everything I did to thicken my hair. I will link it below. Reach out if you have any other questions th-cam.com/video/hx41zIGvVe0/w-d-xo.html
Hi Ianna, thank you so much...your tips are always helpful. Love your hair. I live in the Caribbean...Trinidad to be exact, always have challenges with the sun and dry hair...but getting there with moisturising. Hair growth journey is on, I have reached shoulder lenght ☺ Looking forward to more tips from you. Stay Blessed 🤗
Hello i have fine hair i applied relaxer twice without really knowing what it does. Can i get my natural curly hair by cutting my hair in a short bob haircut?? As a big chop won't be possible fr me
I saw that it was about 35.00, but I think I'm going to bite the bullet and invest in my hair. So that is a very good question that I'd like to know as well. I will probably bingewatch all her videos. Lol
I saw almost an IMMEDIATE CHANGE! But, I can only speak on olaplex #3…my hair loves it and become stronger after the first use. I wash my hair once a week and use it every wash day. Also I can say I saw the best results when I left #3 on overnight. Remember it’s a bond repair, not a leave in or a conditioner. So please follow up with shampoo and then condition as usual. I hope this helps!
Hi sis, I've heard you say you had a dry scalp , I have a dry scalp even when I oil scalp every evenings and mornings . please help me with any DIY I really want to grow my hair.
Hello!! I detail my entire routine in my hair vlog. I will link it below but to summarize, if my hair is freshly styled I apply it to my palm and rub it on my hair strands for moisture and shine. If needed I will apply it to my scalp using my fingers. After my hair style is a bit old or if I have a protective style in I spray directly on the scalp. If you don’t enjoy the spray you can purchase a small nozzled bottle and apply the oils with that. Hope that helps! Reach out with any other questions 💕 th-cam.com/video/WwrEy_WGi8c/w-d-xo.html Nozzled Bottle amzn.to/3IdNVRK
Lovely video, I love , love the tip about the heat protectant in the sun on my hair and I am from the Caribbean as well , the lovely Trinidad 😊.I had terrible breakage and shedding, so all the tips are so , so helpful , thank you.
If you have a no lye relaxer, don’t buy it! Wasting your money. It only works on disulfide bonds NOT lanthion bonds. Air dry hair and use any sulfate free shampoo conditioner set, cream of nature creamy leave in, and jojoba oil. It will stop 🛑 your breakage cheaply!!!
To be quite honest everybody can’t use hair oil it does not work for everybody most people use hair oil and within two hours It’s dry people that I know who ever had bra length hair or waist length hair it was back when they were using the grease and petroleum’s I’m very very convinced that oil by itself does not grow your hair it will deprive your hair of what it needs if anything🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️💯💯💯
Hello. Thank you for watching 💕As for your comment, Grease and petroleum are good sealants. That is all. Back in the day we knew less about hair health but there are countless articles backed by SCIENCE that shows using petroleum on the scalp can be harmful and actually impede hair grow. Knowledge is power… a little research and you’ll see that “grease” shouldn’t go anywhere near your scalp if you want it to be healthy.

I see alot products. To me maybe 2 or3. I hav a problem w/ that.
I’ve been using this for a month and the moisture retention is crazy good. I know in a few months I’ll have some inches
Blue grease and gel broke my hair off. And I have 3c shoulder length but decided to try blue because of online TH-camrs.
Oils provide the same protection. And it’s all natural
Which grease do you use ?
I think Royalcyn should cut you a check. Because of you, I bought so many for myself and directed friends and family who also bought their products. I have seen a lot of results because of you, thank you

Genetics affects your rate of growth not how long your can grow. Length retention is the key.
@@Simplylockd I am holding on to this notion.

I had seborrheic dermatitis too I use t-gel shampoo religiously and it helped so much
Dandruff cannot survive on your scalp if you do a final rinse with plain white vinegar. It sets the ph balance.
She's as pretty as Tyra Banks. My sister is relaxed too. Takes good care of her hair, careful who she lets in it, and her hair is down her back.
Hey glad to see you yes that unlay oil is bible
I thought I was listening to Rihanna omg your voice is so soothing ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was looking for this comment I thought I was going crazy because must people weren't hearing it.Thank you.😆
I’m from Arkansas and we grew up scratching the scalp as well
I think the dandruff scratching thing is in all black culture. I used to do it to my Mom. Seen it all my life.

Avoid all dairy - acne & scalp issues (dandruff or psoriasis) will disappear. Replace dairy with plant-based alternatives. No soda or sweets, either.
Thanks for this .Great advice.
Hello Ianna. Thank you for the tips.
I have a question: when air drying how do I can I prevent frizzy ends?
Hie... checkout hairlicious TH-cam channel she has a video where she mentioned dealing w that
