    You are so right about the optimum relaxer, I have been using it for two years now for relaxer and for real I’ve seen so much less breakage when relaxing my hair at home. The Shea deep conditioning for me is the best, have been using it for years now .

  • @Shayycraft_

    I just relaxed my hair but I can’t put daily oil on my hair or oil at all because it will make my hair greasy and dry my hair out. I use leave in conditioner and I put oil in my scalp only once a week. My hair stays soft and moisturized all week until wash day. I do use a really good heat protector spray before I blow dry my hair and I think that seals in the moisture for me.

      Protective styling (such as braids, crochets,wigs etc)hindered me more than helped. What worked best for me for growth and length retention was simply doing buns or even wearing my hair down, the key is having an excellent moisturizing routine and covering your hair with silk or satin at night.
      Braids and all that are cute but will only cause you hair loss and detangling pain

    I really learn and enjoy your videos. I would love to see a typical week with your hair and how much you typically wear your hair down or out. I’m growing my hair and seeing great results, but I also want to enjoy my hair a little bit. Im not sure how much sure how to balance protective styling and wearing my hair. Would you relax every 4 months and protective style 3 of the 4 months and wear your hair out in ponytails and buns (with nightly wrapping) for the other month? That’s where i get confused and a little anxious that im hindering my growth retention.
    Thank you for your time and videos! You are very beautiful by the way 💕💕

    • @IannaYvonne
      @IannaYvonne  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hello. I definitely can do a week with my hair video. I love that idea! As for protective styles.... I typically only use them when I am on a hair growth journey OR notice breakage/damage. Currently I am only wearing my hair out. If you are still on a GROWTH journey then I would do as you described. Protective style for three months ( Honestly usually go a bit longer) and then a month with my hair out. Then assess my hair. If my hair/edges hasn’t thinned I will repeat this process. I won’t do more than 2 protective styles for the year due to possible thinning. Reach out with any other questions. Thanks for watching 💕

      @@IannaYvonne I understand! Thank you for replying. I'll keep with the protective styles until I reach my goal length then! Ok when I wrap my hair with a bonnet sometimes it may cause breakage, split ends ,dryness because I don't know if it will cause breakage

    • @IannaYvonne
      @IannaYvonne  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmm ... Try satin or silk bonnets/ scarves. Typically they don’t cause breakage, split ends or dryness. The net or cloth ones are more likely to do that.
