Great video and good to see a new starter putting videos on, as I don't have any pigeons but want to get them its good to see your birds and set up. Hope the rest of your birds come back soon for you and I hope some of the more experienced pigeon people out there follow you and give you some great tips all the best and keep the videos coming.

Wow love the pigeon video! Glad they all came back eventually! Hoping to get into it as well, but I wanna do more research. It would be a cool old school way of communicating. love it!

Thank you for the kind feedback! But it is very interesting but hard work! Growing up with my dad taking up the sport around 10 years ago so I have got some guidance however people do things differently whether right or wrong! However good luck with your journey

I completely agree, next couple of training tosses are going to be a couple of miles and on their own, just hard due to work at the moment and I also wanted to be at the loft to see them back for the first time

I always have put some older birds with the young ones. Just so they will learn to fly back home directly.

That was the plan with these young ones but there is a few hawks about but also maybe to far of a chuck for the first time? We’ll see what happens

Very informative thank you. At how many months do you start training or let them out for the first time for a young birds?

You don’t gain anything by going to far on first toss .
Mine see my village and it’s 1/2 a mile …
Shame you haven’t got a life ring Ti race

Definitely right, it was a risk however still learning, more of a practise run before we race in our club next season. Any tips or tricks would be appreciated

@@CountryEBT you’ll need life rings on your birds , pigeon fanciers will say that your birds you have now “ would better get rid of them “ as you have no room . I didn’t have a clue when I started at 10 but just love pigeons. All the best.

@@hendry147147 that’s right, next year I have people breeding me some with my own ring on to race and a new loft will
Be made for extra room, like I say this is just as a hobby and are seen as pets. But thank you all the best

Noticed some picking at the gutter on the roof. Are you providing grit? Fresh grit should always be available. It’s needed for digestion.
