    What a long journey its been since The Sadist Nation. Its amazing how they have preserved their original sound, you can take a 5 year break from this band and come back and be like, "yep, those guitar tones and vocals, still there, still amazing"

      mylifeintheknifetrade It's interesting that when you ask a friend who is a total slipknot fan a question if they listen to Darkest hour, they would just give you the sign, who the fuck are they. Honestly I find the band and it's members to be pretty cool and talented dudes, than most of the bands that I've came across. It would be awesome if they were in the same class as Slipknot and the other older well known bands.

      It's because since the year 2000 and probably earlier, the world, especially the US, has been in a state of decline where the music that tops the charts is fake, plastic nonsensical trash. Trash along with everything coming out of Hollywood and the media. Y2K was the beginning of the last phase. What's good is bad and what's bad is good. The Mayan calendar ended for a reason we just didn't know how to interpret it. Welcome to the beginning of the end, we're 18 years in.

      I'd argue that the latest Killswitch Engage is equal in greatness. I'm probably biased, and not seeing the flaws being as I've been a Killswitch fan since Alive or Just Breathing. Having Jesse back on leads is still basically a dream to me. It's ridiculous. I have been following that guy in every project he's been in up to when he came back into the band. Throw that latest Unearth record on there as well. Now, I just need some new Shadows Fall. That last record was so stupidly underrated, and produced beautifully by Adam D.

    Great Music video, vocals, and guitar sounds. I find John's vocals unique. I am so used to the old songs from their old album where the riffs and the clean vocals make it a lot better. I am still getting used to listening to Migrant Flora. In my opinion their other album "Darkest Hour" is hands down the best, I admit I don't like some of the songs within that album but "infinite eyes," "anti axis," "great oppressor," Rapture in exile are so far the best songs with the rythm to it. It's interesting really, Darkest Hour is perhaps a band that will always remain my favorite, they are an unusual band in that sense. It will remain to still be a great band even if their styles will change with future albums to come.

    • @coreyw5981
      @coreyw5981 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Alex Jeffrey nothing about that album got too mellow. Its was so perfectly versatile. Alots of brutal heaviness still mixed in. This new one is almost exclusively heavy now though

    • @unfortunatelyrob2635
      @unfortunatelyrob2635 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That album was a total outlier for Darkest Hour though. Mark of the Judas, Hidden Hands, Eternal Return, all brutally heavy like this one. Deliver us and Human Romance are a decent mix of melody and heavy, but the self-titled is unlike all the others in its melodic mainstream metal sound. I still enjoy that album but If you think that album is characteristic of the band's sound you would be mistaken.

    • @motivatedthinker2940
      @motivatedthinker2940 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately Rob I don't consider their album "Darkest Hour" to be their Characteristic of the bands sound. I've listened to most of their other albums before. What I meant to say was that even though the bands style of music changes from every album, the album "Darkest Hour" has a beautiful Melody in my opinion with the vocals as well even though it's also mixed. I like their album the eternal return as well.

    If in my 11 hr 11 11 and the blockages of those who trample on the ground the ground before me and continue to disrespect disregard to misunderstand
    When blowing out the deepest pain
    Of ancient ignorance of which those undermine yet go in time the need to get in time
    Move away from my salvation in ancient times I have come to conclusion that if you do not repeat genuine respect you feed the soul of lies
    Watch out because i am doing a meditation time line and the love that was taken away from me DEADPOOL - RELIVE THE LOVE VALENTINE’S DAY SCREENING
    You silver have lied too long for my taste
