You are right. The economy class wont get the food. But, there is a cafe in Coach C. You can go there to buy food & beverage. The seating is limited, but you can bring the food to your seat to eat. That shallow walkway with water 22:32 by the sea is actually a wave breaker. But, they design it during low tide, you can walk there. Not during the high tide. Just take you closer to the water, thats it.
Earning yourself one new subscriber here! :D Penangite myself but I'm staying overseas right now. Watching your videos always brings me back home so can't wait for more of your Penang videos!! The small walkway that you were curious about, it is actually a small seawall that we have along Esplanade. Pedestrians can walk on it during the low tide and i believe it can be very dangerous during high tide with the waves hitting in. Anyway, Penang has alot of good food so please don't hesitate to try any that you find interesting on the way! I hope you enjoy the food and vibe there. Welcome bro to penang. But it is medium speed, not high speed because we only use metre gauge 1000mm and 1435mm gauge (ECRL to east coast). Maximum 160km per hour only
Welcome to Penang, 21:37 normal class food not provided but there is a coach selling foods/drinks. As a Malaysian i have been travelling thru out Malaysia up to Thai border (Padang Besar, bordering Thailand) by ETS, convenient, comfortable, punctual lastly save on petrol, tolls, less tiring if travel by car....fyi there will be brand new ferries replacing the existing ferries starting from 7th Aug,
Visit the two famous historical site in George Town: Rumah Peranakan Blue mansion. They are the house of Baba and Nyonya. Night time walk round Love lane in George town. The Loft restaurant has a golden stove to bake pizza. Kebaya dining room vintage look takes you back to 19th century.
Aah Penang. As a local, we go to Penang 1-2 times a year. Love the food, the chill vibe and most of all, the kids love love love Batu Feringgi. Stay there a night or 2. Have a fun stay in Penang!😊
I am involved during construction and develooment of KL Sentral then became part ot management team managing KL Sentral . I left MRCB 2021. Welcome to Malaysia and enjoy your vacation.
You need to take a ride using Grab (our local version of Uber) and ride around the island. The island is not huge so many places you can explore especially the amazing food.. try out the local foods there. Trust me you'll enjoy it.
Butterworth is not in Penang. It is part of the mainland. It used to be an island and the trains terminated at Perai, until a bridge was built to link it to the mainland a new railway station was built and then the terminal station was moved
Welcome to the food haven capital of South East Asia,, Zane. Don't forget to try out all the different world class cuisines there is to offer. As for the slightly flooded esplanade, am pretty sure when it's low tide, you can go down there for a walk. Enjoy your stay, you'll definitely love it. 👍🏻
The ETS is good and always punctual.. but going to the ferry is quite a hassle.. but the fare is very cheap. Its better to use grab car to go around in Penang.
Hi Zane cant wait to see more of Penang videos. Please be sure to go to Gurney Drive Hawker Center for some excellent grub & Chulia Street for excellent night life. Hope you make it over to Batu Ferringhi to hang out on the beach. Thanks Z
Hi.. a new subscriber here. Hope you had a wonderful time in Penang. The train ride looks interesting. We usually just drive up to Penang... which is fun as well. Looking forward to viewing your next vlog. 😀
When we were on the train a few years ago - we ordered one tea and one coffee, we couldn't tell the difference. They looked slightly different but the taste was not good. The food was nice. I think we would not take the business service again.
Been on this train twice. From KL to Butterworth. Worth the RM150. I'm just waiting for ETS to start running from Johor Bahru / JB Sentral to KL Sentral > I'd rather take the train than take flights to KL from Singapore. Hopefully KTM can get it up & running before the end of 2024. P.S. Taxi or Grab from the train station into Georgetown would set you back about RM30-RM50. Take that option only if you have large luggages. Also, stayed at The Prestige both times I went to Penang. Love love the hotel!!
@zane it’s kota kinabalu ! a lot of peninsular malaysian and korean likes to travel to east malaysia for the mountain and the clear water of islands(semporna) & a lot of interesting places you can visit in the north of borneo Island. Maybe you can give a shot for it zane !
You may not know that the 1.30 RM ferry ride is free on the return trip or basically the ticket is for a round trip. You do not need to show the ticket or anything.
@@Ruriko.Y Yes east coast railway (ECRL) is ongoing but it is semi-speed train (not High-Speed Railway). Yes, SG to KL HSR will be revived but fully under private sector/fund this time.
