Thanks for these tips! I live in a small single story ranch home and the open kitchen/living/dining area has high ceilings. The bedrooms on the back of the house do not. A few years ago, I had a contract with a general contractor to pitch the low ceilings and redo the roof line, but he violated the contract. I lost money plus local code has changed and it’s no longer feasible to redo the roof line. I’ve been mentally stuck on this but recently, I decided to embrace what I have. Your tips are helpful.
