That's a very good hotel room as far as Europe goes. One of the things I like about locally owned hotels in Europe is also their drawback, which is their lack of standardization. More ownership creativity is at play. Thanks for your honest impressions!
Your place looks pretty luxurious compared to my visit when I was in my early 20s in a “pension” hotel. Three storey walk up, no elevator, communal bathroom at the end of the hall (but with a door, lol!). On the plus side, affordable. That wouldn’t do it for me these days, but when you’re young…
True about Johnny's realization that city hotels in Europe are not generally at North American standards. Never have been. Kinda like staying in a rural motel in North America ... don't expect too much. In Europe, "Pensions" or "Chambre garni" are often cosier and more satisfying.
Johnny, I have been watching your videos of Toronto for a while now as Toronto is my favorite city in North America! I stumbled across this video as I am considering this hotel for my next visit to Amsterdam which is right around the corner. I always stay in the Jordaan area at the Hotel Pulitzer. I thought for this upcoming trip, I would try something different. Thanks for the very detailed video of this hotel. Very interesting . . . I look forward to your next video, and can’t wait to get back to Toronto!
If they didn’t put in the tub, they would’ve had room for storage. I wonder why they didn’t close off the bathroom with a pocket door? I loved the light coming in through the windows. Thank goodness the AC was good. I was very curious about your accommodations. 😂 nosy
Great walk Johnny! Amsterdam is such a beautiful city. Toronto is nice too but it just not the same as the strong European vibe you get in the Netherlands. I do notice that cars care less about right of way compared to Canada from watching your walks in Amsterdam. At 2:25 that car just backs up without giving way to the cyclists... would have gotten yelled at if that were to happen in Toronto.
Yikes. No fridge!! The first thing I do is find a grocery store when I stay in a hotel. I buy bottles of water and fruit. Both I enjoy cold. And of course candy and chocolate.
Great video, and a good hotel but I wouldn't stay there, no fridge, no wardrobe and no door to the bathroom. I give the hotel 7 and a half out of ten. Anyway catch you on the next on. 👍
The flickering we see might be due to an interference pattern cause by the mismatch between your North American camera's refresh rate and the European electricity frequency.
Dear Mr. Johnny Strides.... Holy cow!... Are you sure you own a Concord supersonic plane?... How on earth did you leap across the pond and return to Amsterdam so quickly to shoot this vlog... How cow!... Are you sure Santa Claus did not pick you up in his Mahagick Sleigh and fly you across the pond to Amsterdam?... The word is Santa was just cruising out and about testing out a new acceleration system, despite he has twelve reindeer that pull the sleigh... Holy cow!... And you even managed to book a hotel room!... Are you sure that you have absolutely no connection with Star Trek technology and thus secretly transported across the pond?... Are you perhaps related to Ironman and perhaps Tony Stark carried you over or allowed you to borrow one of the suits and you flew across the pond?... Hhhmmm??.... Well... I am stumped... I cannot figure out how you managed to get back to Amsterdam so quickly... I encourage you to keep it a secret... the end... Always in Good Taste... CHEERS!... Be Supportive and Subscribe... PS.. Johnny is Toronto's Vlogger...

I missed the premiere live, but I'm watching the replay! Hope you're feeling better Johnny and I'll see you on the next premiere!
Hello Johnny, Thanks for showing us Amsterdam it's really beautiful.

Hope wherever you stay is a good one!
I guess johny is realizing that hotel standards in Europe are not the same as north America.
Such a price and no fridge or door on the bathroom! Unbelievable!

Haha I liked the claw tub, adds character, but yeah there should have been more storage. The decor also needs updating lol.
That is a cozy 4* hotel room, everything looks 1st class. I would probably stay myself at the Krasnapolsky, which is at the Dam Square.
Great video! Amsterdam is miles ahead of us in so many ways, especially with cycling. 👍👍
But certainly not their hotel rooms lol
A beautiful city !

Yeah, I have no idea why they don't provide one...
good morning everyone

When you get back, we'll hang out and smoke some Trees🌴🌴 😁😁...🤣😂
I so prefer hotels in Toronto day and night. Asia too is awesome. I stayed at the signiel in Seoul an amazing experience.

Yeah, I should have set my camera to 50hz instead of 60. Pretty sure that would have cleared it up. Cheers!
People are way too tall for me to hang out in Amsterdam .
Hello 👋
I saw lots of rainbow flags, but very few Netherlands flags. It kinda looks like they’ve been blitzed again.
Was a pride festival weekend Johnny said!
