POLDARK FILMING Season 5 - Wheal Leisure dressed for filming Poldark (Botallack)

- Join us as we explore the film set of Wheal Leisure/Wheal Grace, dressed for filming Poldark Season 5, the final season!
This was filmed at Wheal Owles, Botallack, Cornwall. The Poldark film crew have used this building to represent two mine engine houses in the current Poldark Series - Wheal Leisure and Wheal Grace.
We filmed this on a beautiful September evening, as the sun is setting. This old mine engine house is no longer in use. The film crew have to construct all of the wooden buildings you see in this video. We were amazed at the attention to detail! Watch out for the hurricane lamps, the wagon wheels and even some tankards - all ready to bring the long lost era alive!

Thanks Sarah and Andrew. This is so interesting to see up close. Its so sad to think that this is the last series of Poldark being filmed. We finally get to see series 4 Sunday night!

You two visit some of the coolest places. That set was pretty cool. Maybe you should sneak back when they are filming and film them filming........ thats a lot of filming.
Lots of filming! We have seen the filming before but it's a strict no cameras policy when the stars are on set. The cordon for the general public is a long way from the film set so you would need a paparazzi style camera to get a good shot!
Thank you Sarah and Andrew. This was wonderful, we really enjoy seeing the old mines on your walks but this was an insight into how it would have looked in days gone by. The attention to detail is amazing.

Where's the elusive crew?!!!! :-))) I was here on Christmas Day last year!.....believe me, it wasn't so tranquil then, blowing a gale and lashing with rain, but still just as beautiful. Great filming...keep them coming! Will be down there soon for a short break. Can't wait! x

Thanks again for more Poldark behind the scenes, really great isn't it. We will miss it as well if they don't ever make any more, Sunday nights aren't the same without it, but will look forward to watching series 5 next year. Thanks Bets

At 1.16 in the background to the right you can see the chimneys of Botallack Manor, this was ‘Nampara’ in the original series with Robin Ellis & Angharad Rees.
We also have an instagram page and posted some photos of the farm, it's all boarded up now, Sarah :)
@@CornishWalkingTrails Yes l was there recently, it's been derelict a long time but now l see it's boarded up, wonder why? Wouldn't you just love to live there!
@@jandeville325 Oh yeh, so much! I love the building and it is a real shame to see it so neglected! I just love to imagine walking up and down the stairs every day with a view to the sea with all of its characteristics, calm and sparkling to angry and raging! Who wouldn't want to live there!
