hi nice video. 1. 13:25 that would apply if you used a 36t pulley and not a 44t. if you have 44t and you are set to 85 then the maximum difference is 5km/h. (here you can calculate it: (there should be the correct data set for the CV) calc.esk8.it/#{%22batt-type-lipo%22:0,%22batt-cells%22:12,%22motor-kv%22:160,%22system-efficiency%22:93,%22motor-pulley-teeth%22:14,%22wheel-pulley-teeth%22:44,%22wheel-size%22:120}| 2. 19:57 I'm not sure if you're right in terms of range - as you're comparing terrain vs asphalt - you should even get a greater range with your CV than with 85 on the road (due to the smaller contact area)
I recently put some Cloudwheel Dunuts on my Meepo v5, and I am VERY happy with the performance!! But I would not recommend for off road, unless a dirty trail/path that is maintained. But you were going for it though, and for that I am impressed! But trail riding is much different than off roading. Pneumatic tires are what you need in that situation (and actual shocks/springs). I have tried to go over grass at my local park (dirt trail and large grassy areas. A great spot) and it was not a pleasant experience. It was very bumpy, and (of course) I hit a mire where a sprinkler line was busted. (Just my luck). Fortunately, no damage to the electronics. Anyway, liked & subbed. Look forward to more content! Be safe. Always wear at least a helmet.
wheel bite brother what about the wheel bite??? I need a wider setup I want to sell my essay board so I can upgrade to some all teraigns... what do you recommend what of all these has the longest strongest battery life and fastest modes im all about the wavy curve and free loose feel but need some solid seeds to go hand and hand
Yeah im planning to get a electric skateboard . I'm a surfer and been doing it for 25 years but I got colon cancer almost 2 years ago and I can't go back out in the ocean because I gotta wear a shit bag but I'm gonna go back to skating but I'm just looking to get a street cruiser and I'll most likely go with the backfire G2 board . But when I do get the board I do plan on going with the cloud wheels . I'm sure they alot smoother than the stock wheels . But I can't wait to get back to skating because I'm tired of sitting on my ass and playing guitars
bro I have exway flex but I can't connect to the exway app is this function and firmware updates only for the new new boards? I think I have the og ones w the Paris v2 trucks 90 mm street wheels
Where did u buy those from the exway website or the cloud wheels website. Wondering because i ordered them to from the cloud wheels website and dont know if they will still say exway on the side.
Pat Helder I ordered them from the exway website, I believe that’s the only way to get the exway branding as other companies such as backfire also have a backfire branded cloud wheel. I could be wrong however seeing as cloudwheel has different types on their website for different boards
How is the feel with these on normal flat tarmac, do You feel any vibrations, or is it more or less smooth? I was thinking on getting those, but not for offroading, but actually to be able to go through more bumby sidwalks and curbs (without the need to get off the board when a higher curb comes along) . About the range, can You get abowe 10 miles realisticly? (on tarmac)
I bought these wheels primarily for bumpy and rough tarmac as my city has poor budgeting and a lot of streets are just broken/ covered with potholes, and they work beautifully! I get on average ~13 miles with the wheels and thats riding full throttle most of the time. You dont feel little rocks and holes but you should still be careful with bigger rocks as its easier to lose grip. All in all a great set for the road though !
@@estebanbedoya2004 Great, thanks! How about smooth tarmac, do You feel vibrations, or is it as smooth as normal wheels? Can You estimate what curb height can You overcome without the need to kick the tail, is like 2 inches possible?
@@januszgalewski1491 smooth tarmac feels like riding on clouds, it’s absolutely amazing however i did notice that you dont have as much grip on the ground compared to regular wheels. 2 inch curbs shouldn’t be much a problem, you can definitely jump the curb without it issues, however getting on the curb does take some practice so you don’t get flung into the sidewalk like I have 😅 but it’s absolutely possible !
Carlo M yup! It’s an issue on exway’s side. The best advice I can give is to get a dremel or file, and try to file down about ~1/2 inch for extra clearance.
Hey im thinking about getting cloudwheels but im wondering about the speedometer and the odometer I know that the bigger wheels change both of those readings and idk if you can change that?
Just buy a Onewheel. I’m looking at an Exway Flex right now and considering cloudwheels but I would never use it for off-road even though that’s what they’re “meant” for. I would just use my Onewheel XR. It’s designed for off-road and performs much better.
Not everyone has enough to ditch out that much for an XR or Pint, however yes, if your sole purpose is off-roading, the One Wheel is perfect for that. However if youre occasionally hitting gravel roads or need to take a grass shortcut, the Board has yet to fail me going through fields
Matthew Sherman absolutely agree with you, it is tight but only because the belt covers that came with the wheels rub the belt if it’s too loose. This was the loosest I could get the belt without having to take the covers off entirely. But it’s also not as Tight as it seems, there’s enough play that you won’t have to worry about it snapping easily
Why are you testing "all terrain" wheels on pavement? Doesn't exactly do them much justice. I ride my stock exway flex wheels on rough pavement every single day.
It should be from those 4 screws that you adjust the tightness, it’s not the best system and sometimes requires a lot of pulling and pushing to actually get it to move, and even when it does, it’s not a huge amount.

Daniel Šaroch thank you for this! I wasn’t aware of that!!! Thank you so much 🙏
@@estebanbedoya2004 You're welcome 😀
You presented these wheels as someone who is selling at a store and you did that with details and everything, 👏 well done!👍

stock 85s are super underrated.. they can ride over anything the 120s can
size does matter

Cool video man, thanks for the information, def buying myself those wheels cause size matters
hello, i buy cloudwheels 120d, but belt is to loose.. so u unscrew that 4 screws and tried move motor, but it cant.. how i can adjust belt tention?

Are these wheels available in a kit for in the wheel motored boards? Great video
105mm or 120mm?
Is it safe to let the belt expose?
So if i want a cloud wheels dovi needed pulley and belt drive.
yes

Are your belts rubbing on the motor covers as well?

Huge downside is range is decreased by 5 miles but they are super soft and eat rocks and cracks
u in Farmington ct bike trail?
What’s the belt exact spec? Is it 280-5m-15???
MiKYONG BRiONES the belt only states that it’s GATES POWER GRIP, HTD 280-5M, so I would assume ThAts it
Esteban Bedoya Thanks! 👍
Nice video! Really informative!!

Daniel Romanski you definitely can in the app. Just go in the app and change the wheel size.
Hi
What size pulleys do i need to buy flex+120 cloudwheels
For the 120 mm, it is recommended you use the 44T pulleys. You can use 36T but lose some speed
Who can buy the bully 36 and 44 fore the new flex rio v2 ??? I want use 120mm wheel
Lol taco is definitely the tahoes nickname
CLOUD WHEELS RANGE TEST PLEASE 🤘🏽

Cool video . Very instructional
3.25 inches is 82.5 mm not 133mm
