You can look at Detroit as prime example of what happens when investors don't want to invest in an area you get cheap housing that nobody wants. Look at the housing crisis back in the day houses got cheap because no one was buying them y'all are complaining about rent but you guys are the ones paying the shity ass rent. All London borough's are HIGH CRIME areas with more crimes reported daily than the police can deal with. Crime figures have risen continuously on Sadiq Khan's watch. Knife crime, and the subsequent loss of life, has all happened on his watch and he should have resigned years ago. How any person can go into work day after day believing they are doing a good job knowing there are so many unnecessary deaths occurring on their watch beats me.
