    Do you do anything with the hole where the cables go through? Just leave it or is there a mudguard available?

    Great video! Did you have to get the TST Turn Signal Running mate cable along with the Turn Signals?

    • @StreetRodAZ
      @StreetRodAZ  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No because the XSR doesn’t have a rear running lights. I have another video where I show how to preserve the front running lights though with new front turn signals. Check out the list of my videos for that. It will show you what part to get for running lights, and it will even work if you want to add rear running lights to your bike. Thanks for watching brother. Good luck with your mods. Ride safe.

    Hey StreetRodzAz, thanks for the simple instructions. But could you include what other electrical parts you needed and how you put it together. You went from looking for a washer to attach the other indictor to jumping 90% of the wiring done. Thanks

    • @StreetRodAZ
      @StreetRodAZ  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure thing. So in addition to the BL6 turn signals, you’re going to need these tstindustries.com/tst-yamaha-signal-plug-converters-3-to-3.html
      That way you won’t have to do any cutting of the factory wires

    • @StreetRodAZ
      @StreetRodAZ  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Putting it together is pretty straightforward. Just follow the instructions on the BL6 indicators so you know which wires go together

    • @StreetRodAZ
      @StreetRodAZ  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The only tricky one is going to be the license plate light. That one you may have to harvest apart or two off of your old fender and solder it to the tail tidy license plate light

    What size indicator bolt thread does the tail tidy take? 8mm or 10mm?

    • @StreetRodAZ
      @StreetRodAZ  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Indicator bolt? not sure what that is. Indicators are typically threaded on the shaft so you don't really need a bolt. Just a washer and a nut.

  • @leeroy360
    @leeroy360 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video! Do the stock indicators work with this tail tidy or should I just purchase new leds? I have the same tail tidy but am yet to attempt the installation. What else will I need?

    I've bought the same tail tidy, but I've got alot of spacers, like two short, two medium, two fatter. Where I need to place them?

    • @StreetRodAZ
      @StreetRodAZ  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Short spacers are used for the bolts towards the rear.Taller spacers are used for the front bolts. You don't need the others.

    Hey, thanks for the vid it helped a lot I have a 2018 xsr700 and bought the exact same set up as you but what did you do for the license plate light wires? I just ordered the signal wire extenders from TST today but I can’t seem to find anything for license plate light

    • @StreetRodAZ
      @StreetRodAZ  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Daniel. I harvested the end of the stock plate light harness, then soldered and shrink wrapped it to the new light. Fairly easy to do and came out great.

    Do you notice any vibration on high speeds from the front of the bike? Seems like that is a common problem for XSR 700

    • @StreetRodAZ
      @StreetRodAZ  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope. But my other bike has inverted forks so I do notice some difference but not vibration. Inverted forks just rebound better. Which is also why I will be swapping out the stock front end for an R6 front end in a couple months.

    Hello mate,
    I tried and now my signal aren't working, i guess, it might ne a short circuit ? It was working at first but when i was abt to a final touch, there was a small spart noice and the signals stopped working both front and back?
    Help please

      sounds like you got wires crossed and blew a fuse. very simple fix. just replace the fuse.

      I havent changed the front signal yet, i have left all wires unplugged at this stage. Before while disconnecting the tail wire, the front signals were working, now front signals stopped working too? Fuse look good.
      Would you think its a relay issue.
      What will be a solution please

    • @StreetRodAZ
      @StreetRodAZ  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the problem is is you don’t have the positive and negative wires hooked up correctly on the lights. Remember this is DC current. Polarity counts
