Most owners of motorbikes never really get to enjoy the actual ride because they are too concerned about what others might hear and see. What I have noticed is that no one else really gives a shit. Enjoy the ride. And that’s what this bike looks like it’s made for.
Rode one like that from Alabama to southern Argentina all the way through 30000 thou. miles 9 month in Colombia Ecuador Peru and Chile with no problems at all, one thing I like on this bike is that you can move the backrest on the driver so you can get some more leg space. Keep pace with all the moto travelers along the way without any kind of trouble.
CVT is brilliant the smaller the engine the better it is at getting the maximum performance for the power available. Virtually infinite gearing optimises it I had a DAF car in the 70s with CVT 600cc engine but was a pleasure to drive around town.
I got a 2002 silverwing and 2012 goldwing now if I ride local I get out the silverwing it has 30000 miles on it. It's been the most fun small bike I've owned. The only reason I haven't traded it is because I love it. However in a year or 2 I might trade it on a Yamaha t max just because Honda quit building the silverwing
I ride a 2005 Reflex and so far I think only one snub. Of course, I may have missed a couple but I don't care and enjoy the ride regardless how sanctimonious some folks are.
Looking back at this from 2021 these were great scooters in the day, but by today's standard in terms of the engine and the economy, these are fuel hungry monsters, but still a good bike
Why would you want the discomfort and lack of storage of a crotch rocket - not to mention all the damage they do to testicles. His "ladies and small people" comment is 180° wrong.

Does Honda still make the Silver wing for the year 2022!? Just curious, and does it look just as good as this one in the video too !? 🤔 I'm considering to buy one this summer, I live in the east coast of Massachusetts, I wonder what the sale price is for this scooter at this time, I'm gonna have to look it up I guess, but if anyone knows if they still sell a brand new Silver wing for this year 2022, that would be great, thanks!
Is it fuel injected? Are you sure? Are you sure it's not pre 80's? When people just dribble out as many words as possible, without wondering if there of any use to anyone. Why
I love my Burgman & Honda has A ways to go before they match it, I would have loved to have a Honda Machine But they let Suzuki beat them to the punch this time... I still love Honda & hope they can make a better touring so called scooter...
I ride my Silverwing to Eureka Springs Arkansas from southeastern lower Michigan every year for the Scooting The Ozarks Rally. Believe me, the Silverwing can easily handle long range touring.
+Kent Reed I have a number of videos up on my channel regarding the trip to Eureka Springs and the STO Rally, but nothing that starts in my driveway and ends at Eureka Springs Quality Inn parking lot.

WHEN YOUR AT PEACE WITH YOU'RE EGO THEN AND ONLY THEN WILL YOU BE ABLE TO ENJOY A BIKE LIKE THIS.
Still a great review in 2023. Good stuff.

How?
I have to say the maneuverability, more storage space and scooters have more advantage than a motorcycle.
In Europe they are hugely popular and its their sheer versatility that sells it
I’m bout to buy one, seriously.
Got a 2006 silver wing a few years ago. Great bike. Minimal maintenance.
The ideal commute bike for most of the U.S. market. For the city it's overkill, but for a commute with highway it can't be beat.
coming from a chinese 50cc scooter to my silverwing 600 was A BLAST! i prefer my silverwing over my car now lol.
I own and adore a 2006 Silverwing. Will never get rid of it~

At 4:13 did u see the car with the trunk open now that was funny totally got me laughing
sniperlopez4 yes why
🤣🤣🤣
Maybe some old guy with black socks and sandals having a senior moment.
I am going to buy a Honda X-Adv 750, a true motorcycle/scooter hybrid. Not sure you get them in Canada.
Just bought a 2006 Silverwing. Love it dearly! Will never not ride this............
MPG is the only downside.
I love my Silverwing. Harley riders still dont wave and call it a moped.
You know why they dont wave back ?
its because they cant see you, because the have their heads up their A**.
I'd wave back if i saw you bro.

f*ck em they usually know jack sh*t about motorcycles anyways just bought them as a prestige item trying to fill up some void

A scooter is just a motorcycle type so it is both.
AGREED
It's a big scooter. Note the CVT, step-through frame, and engine (not motor) under the seat, where it's impossible to work on.
Motor

In the US no, according to Hondas site anyway, but dude there are so many used ones with low miles at killer prices , why by new ?
@@joecamel6835 yeah, I hear you, thanks 👍
i jst got a 03 and i jst love it
It looks nice, but what kind of horsepower does it have?
How much $. I”m 72 and interested. Like to spend golden years touring.
Florida: God's waiting room
What does something like this scooter go for pricewise please comment back it looks very nice
These were expensive when they were first released, but much more of a bargain second hand
I bought a used 03 for 1,400$ only has 11,615 miles on it. Owned by old lady and young family guy.
What year is the Silverwing in this video?
I wish they would design one that looks more like a more traditional classic motorcycle.
They did, it's called a Gold Wing ;)
No, Like A Sportster Or like A Ridley.:):):)
Try a Honda CTX700N. Its a traditional motorcycle you can opt with an automatic transmission.
+Niareno
CTX700 with the dual clutch automatic transmission.
@@TheLenaweeTrekker great bike but has a chain.
This Scooter or Suzuki burgman 650
Which is bitter ??
Neither, they are both quite happy 😊. (and it depends on personal preference)

How about passengers??
How tall do you have to be to ride the silver wing... I am 5"2
I am 5'3" and I can touch lol
I will probably be investing in some riding boots with a platform though :-/
I'm usually too tall. On my Burgman my knee hits the ignition key. That could be bad.

I want to buy honda SCOOPY.
I've got the 1983 GL650 Silverwing which is a far better looking bike than the modern Silverwing
If I wanted to tour the country, would the Silverwing overheat. I have heard not to have anything under 750cc for long distance tour riding.
