Can you have check valves down stream of the pressure vacuum breaker to prevent back pressure from a irrigation drip line up about 30 feet?

Very interesting question! Not sure that a drip line will create backpressure since the drip line will be subjected to the atmosphere pressure. Therefore no need for a check valve to prevent backpressure. However the installation of the check valve will not impact the operation of the pressure vacuum breaker. The pressure vacuum breaker can be subjected to pressure downstream that is less than the inlet pressure. So as long as the pressure downstream of the pressure vacuum breaker is less than the inlet pressure it will work just fine with regular maintenance and testing.
