FINALLY | 2025 Mazda 6 New Model Redesign : What We Know so Far ‼️

The Mazda6 was one of our favorite cars from the Japanese brand. It was a stylish, spacious, and fun-to-drive mid-size sedan that offered a lot of value for money. But sadly, Mazda decided to cut it from the North American market in 2021, along with the small CX-3 crossover. The reason was simple: low sales and high competition from SUVs and crossovers.
The most shocking news is that the new Mazda6 will be an FR sedan, meaning it will have a front-engine, rear-wheel drive layout. This is a huge departure from the traditional front-wheel drive platform that Mazdas have always used. This also means that the new Mazda6 will be aimed at the premium segment, just like its crossover siblings, the CX-60 and the CX-90.
The new Mazda6 is expected to debut in fall 2025, which is still quite far away. But we are very excited about this project and we hope that Mazda will deliver on their promises. The new Mazda6 could be a game-changer for the brand and for the sedan segment in general.

I love RWD/(AWD even better) Longitudinally mounted engine, and I do not believe I am alone in this long wait.
So I welcome MAZDA 6 as planned.

I owm a MAZDA 6 GT 2018 , i really like the luxurious interior.. but i wish all the cars companies would make more space betwen the wheels and the body of there
car !

I owned a 2005 6 for 11 years. I only had to replace the battery and alternator. Great car. They need to make it more luxurious, like the lexus ES. Less interior noise and quality interior materials are needed to compete in that segment. I hope Mazda realizes fwd or awd is the most popular drive train.
Im looking forward to comparing the new model to the ES.

If there is a PLEV with greater than 50 mile range or a full EV, then I'm in. Mazda simply delivers in style, value, performance and luxury and since it is to be a resurrection of the 6, you know Mazda will give it greatness.

The mazda CX3 wasn't recommended because of the weak 2.0 litre engine which I was considering before the mazda 3 GS sport hatchback
