Please bring back a "non" lifted wagon. I am driving a 2013 TSX wagon and I get more questions and looks from people than I ever did when it was newer. It's a great bulletproof all around car. It just needed a little more power or a Type S version and it would be a huge hit.

Even though a Mazda6 sedan will sell in lower volumes (was historically near the CX-9 sales volume before their discontinuations), given how popular the CX-90 PHEV has sold in the sales mix to not offer one would be a big lost opportunity. To the point where a new Mazda6 based on the fwd small platform to fit a hybrid/phev option and using the CX-50 powertrains doesn't seem unlikely.
It would lock the car out of the performance mindset of higher level sedans, but it would lower itself to the accord/camry/sonata value level. And as there will be CN production along with the CX-50 a US produced mazda6 at the Alabama plant would further reduce costs if on the same platform.
I don't want this to be the case, I'd really like to see the Mazda6 be shown against RWD sedans and not the TRD camry. But given how every 4th comment is about how expensive cars are and how a fully loaded g70 should be sold for 20k and the front desk girls' number, i can see a more economy offering being all too likely instead of a flagship.
But a 929 on a RWD platform might be able to swing it...

Random thought here when I saw the CX-60 at the beginning was perhaps the next gen CX-5 is going to be closer to that in terms of design and space hence the CX-70 being just a CX-90 minus 3rd row and not what many were expecting, the CX-70 being a North American CX-60.

What I like about the blue rendering of the 6 is the face, the tail lights, the outline of the triangular window just behind the rear doors, the rounded profile of the doors overall, and the side profile of the rear window. I only wish Mazda could somehow adapt the rear trunk of the gold to the blue version. The scooped out pattern on the doors in the gold version seem very gimmicky and the bubble shaped roofline is somewhere between 1997 Ford Taurus and the current Alpha Romeo Giulia. I think you're gonna bring back the Speed6?

Speed is dead. Pretty sure one of Mazda’s executives even called the Speed era “childish” according to an interview. I’m not joking, look it up.

Wdym? Mazda 3 is Top Safety Pick+. It's one of the safest cars. I'm sure, Mazda 6 will be even safer.

Even if not RWD, it needs that new inline 6...even if not the base engine....make it NA non hybrid plz and offer a sporty manual version, preferable a non lifted wagon/estate.

Don't hold your breath for a wagon in North America, they just want to move CX models off the dealer lots.

I like the discontinued in US (last version of) 6 visual much better & I will gladly trade in my SUV for the wagon 6 version shown w/ inline-6 & w/o oil burning Turbo or complicated hybrid! Horrid decision by Mazda as it's kinda hard to Zoom Zoom on a tall SUV. This is one of only few times I am envious of Auzzy's.

As long as the Japanese BMW doesn’t come with the typical German BMW issues, I look forward to trying it out.

As good as the concept front for the Mazda 6 looks, I think the Mazda 3 has the best front look.

A new Mazda6 would be nice. But with emission and fuel regulations, I can’t see them using an inline 6 and bringing it to North America.

I will buy a 6 wagon if its RWD with higher horse power output. Bring it to Australia

I prefer the potentially liftback design, seems sleeker.

I'll keep my excitement in check until it gets here...but mother of god. If Mazda brings a RWD sedan, with a PHEV powertrain, I may throw them my money.
...and if it comes as a wagon? Yeah, sorry left-hand side kidney. It was nice knowing ya.

After the Subaru Legacy thumped the Mazda 6. I never thought that the 6 would lead the charge for sporty japanese sedans and wagons. Too bad Subaru has given up on Legacy and it is effectively a lowered Outback now. We don't even get the Legacy replacement, the Levorg, in North America.

Well youre not missing out. The Levorg, while nice looking, has a tiny 1.6 mated to a cvt slushbox
