Boats like this are built with skill & pride in the workmanship. Extremely rare to find such work today. (Paul St. Clair.. Master shipwright). ⛵⚓

Reminds me of home, fishing towns had great communities,I'd say im the last of Children who cycled down to the Dock to watch the fishing boats come in,see how many box's were been landed,on some boats id know a few of the fishermen and when they came up to the Dock wall the lads would throw me the bow or stern line,i was about 11 or so,but I'd feel ten feet tall bc i tied up the boat, then European boats were allowed into our waters with their massive factory ships, paired boats nets half a mile wide,we didn't stand a chance, that was late 70's by mid 80's boats were going out of business, the fish stocks were gone, now Arklow has mainly welk boat's,sad and shame on the Irish government for selling out Irish fisherfolk 🇮🇪☘️

Does anyone have any information on Honestas a beautiful boat build at this yard.

Built in Buckie ar Herd & Mackenzie in 1960 ..The MFV Honestas was originally built for Fisher Row, she was given a Leith registration. As far as the owners know, Honestas is part of the motto of Musselburgh where her owners were based. She was launched in February 1960 and has carried several registrations, including Inverness and Peterhead, and was at one time known as ARDMORE before returning to her original name.
She was sold into private ownerwship and began a process of renovation and refurbishment with the intention of using her as a sea angling and charter vessel. The original Gardner engine has been refurbished and the original accommodation was removed and a significant level of work was required in order to bring the boat up to standard.
As of June 2018, the vessel is currently moored at Dartmouth, in private ownership and undergoing a refit prior to being used for pleasure cruising.
