Portknockie round the bowfiddle rock in 4k
The engine was from a Whitely bomber which ditched somewhere out at sea, possibly the Moray Firth. A local fishing boat snagged on the net and hauled it to the surface around the 1960s/70s judging by the type of net and mesh size. Back then they wouldn't have had the power or space to lift the engine onboard the boat, so they towed it in to Cullen Bay where they cut it free. The engine is now on display at Moravia, Kinloss.
Seen it on a recent visit with cullen sea school.
The Scotland of old now never shown on our telly because of Wesrminster politics. BBC now EBC, Grampian Tv now STV now ITV #Indy
The skill and pride that went into building these beautiful fishing vessels 👍
Boats like this are built with skill & pride in the workmanship. Extremely rare to find such work today. (Paul St. Clair.. Master shipwright). ⛵⚓
magic. any chance of more of this?
Looks like an amazing bike run that.
Nice trip 😊
Great video. I mind used to doing such things on my 3 speed Raleigh Bomber with nae lights, nae helmet and nae mobile phone.
Love it 😄
Reminds me of home, fishing towns had great communities,I'd say im the last of Children who cycled down to the Dock to watch the fishing boats come in,see how many box's were been landed,on some boats id know a few of the fishermen and when they came up to the Dock wall the lads would throw me the bow or stern line,i was about 11 or so,but I'd feel ten feet tall bc i tied up the boat, then European boats were allowed into our waters with their massive factory ships, paired boats nets half a mile wide,we didn't stand a chance, that was late 70's by mid 80's boats were going out of business, the fish stocks were gone, now Arklow has mainly welk boat's,sad and shame on the Irish government for selling out Irish fisherfolk 🇮🇪☘️
Are you doing anymore trips on MFV Unity? That filming was excellent 👌
Ahh , steaming planks on a frosty morning , hard ould graft , great video , a time when we had great trades men 👍
Interesting watching the big boats at sea. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it

Fantastic to see it all together Malcolm. Great tribute, well done sir.
Free and Beautiful💛
Thank you .
So cool. They're just playing around with each other. Swimming sideways and upsidedown, wiggling around. What funny, curious, intelligent creatures they are. They fascinate me!
wow! that’s a large pod 😍
Great video and a great vessel!! Which is the maximum speed (Knots) that can operate a dragging a pelagic trawler;
👍
Nice video
Thanks
I sailed on BCK 197 FAME from Hull in the 70s she was converted to a diving tender
Hello, I am from a country called Mauritania that has a large and varied fish wealth. I am looking for people interested in the field who want to expand investment in fish freezing rooms or fishing boats or collect large quantities of fish and export them from here to their markets. 2 minutes in you see the common skate?
luxury, so different from days past
That a common skate?
Grand.
If that doesn't take your breath away..
Keep um up
Great video of a bit of history around our coastline
If all Fishing vessels reported their catch throughout the year to DEFRA....then this data would provide information on various species of fish and size of catch
Brilliant skills. But may I ask: is trawling considered ethical? Does it damage the sea bed, how much by catch, how are herring numbers doing,...
Orcas are so amazing! Can't wait to dive with them again <3
Love it 👍
What size is that net?? Looks bigger than what we use for pollock, eg egersund 1600
Just superb, great job with cam. Skipper and crew. A joy to watch.
Glad you enjoyed it
Was it two pods greeting each other?
Yes that could be :)
