@@HAP3SPEAKZ Gotta check out Billy Joel's Live concert from "Last day of Shay" the day before NY literally tore down the stadium. This Concert was EPIC! You got Billy Joel playing the piano and Garth singing!!
Lord this brings back memories. The thing about Garth is, yeah he's a superstar and a big guy, yet he is also incredibly sweet and fun to talk to and down to earth and if there's anything better than him singing, it's the hugs...
This was back in the days of Ropin the Wind... Garth Brooks made me love Country Music. I miss those days. You know it should be easy for a man who's strong To say he's sorry or admit when he's wrong I've never lost anything I ever missed But I've never been in love like this It's out of my hands I'm shameless, I don't have the power now But I don't want it anyhow So I've got to let it go
In my opinion Garth changed Country music in a major way. His songs are great and in his concerts he was all over the stage, swinging on ropes, and not like anything Country saw ever before. And, his shows are still hitting on all the cylinders. He does 4 or 5 shows in a city and they are all sold out. Thanks for doing Garth. Yours is the first I’ve seen.
I consider Garth the Freddie Mercury of country music because of his stage presence. He can't sing like Freddie, but he wrote great songs and put on amazing shows.
Garth said that he runs back and forth on stage, climbs ladders and swings through the air on wires to get a good reaction from the crowd and all George Straight has to do is walk on stage and smile.
Another awesome song by Garth is "The Dance". He has won numerous Country Music awards. The largest was Artist of the Decade. He has an impressive catalog of hits.
so I come from a small, rural town where country music is on top, and I got really into the karaoke thing in my 20's and early 30's. I was a country fan as a kid...but as an adult...not so much. Still, I had a voice for it, and often sang the country songs I'd loved as a kid while at the karaoke bars. Then I moved to the city, where country was very much NOT on top, and on one of my first night's out there (at the gay bars, because I'm gay) I noticed a karaoke bar across the street from where I was (not a gay karaoke bar...just a regular one), and I decided to go in and check it out. The place was PACKED...barely room to move around...clearly a popular bar...and for whatever reason, I decided to sing this song. It was one of my favorites to sing, and I was confident that I could sing it well. Anyway...as soon as the name "Garth Brooks" came up on the screen, people started booing...loudly and clearly. It was obvious that country was pretty much hated at this place...but then I started singing. Slowly people started getting into it, and by the time I hit that powerful section where Garth just belts it out (I liked to put a little growl in my voice when I sang it...just as loud as Garth, but with almost a hard rock feel to it) everyone was cheering and half the place was dancing. I left as soon as it was over without a word, confident that I'd taught a lot of people a valuable lesson that night. It was the only time I'd ever been boo'ed, but stands out as probably my favorite karaoke experience of all time. This is a great song, and Garth is an artist anyone can love...even if they hate every other country song they've ever heard.
As someone else mentioned Billy Joel originally did this song. When Garth heard it, he waited for it to be released as a single. When it wasn't, he asked if he could do it. Billy Joel told him to have at it and he did. It was a big hit.
I recorded this concert when it came on TV on a VHS cassette and played it over and over again until I knew every word to every song. Garth Brooks is the greatest of all time.
Hi from Nashville, TN (home of country music)- Garth is definitely the GOAT of country music! I have really enjoyed watching you discover Garth (and country). You should try Papa Loved Mama- it’s fast and fun! Garth has so many great songs!
Garth is huge in American country music. A few others are The Dance, Unanswered Prayers, and, if you haven't heard it, Friends In Low Places is a fun one.
My favorite song of all time. Going to see him for the third time (technically 4th- rained out in Nashville and was cancelled) in April. My 12 year old son sings his heart out to this song.
I'm not a country music fan but I AM a Garth fan. Met the man once a zillion years ago. Very kind and funny as hell. In his younger days he was a lot of fun on stage (as you saw in your Ain't going down video and that was tame!) I'd suggest for meaningful lyric songs: The Dance, If tomorrow never comes, Unanswered Prayers, The thunder rolls. And for FUN! of course....Friends in low places! (I'd look for younger Garth, around this age, as he's become much more mellow and hardly performs anymore) The more meaningful songs don't need videos. It's the words.
This was a really cool performance! I loved the melody, the lyrics and the performance of this song. Garth’s voice bring out the soulfulness of the song. Great choice Sumer!! 🌻🌻
He's the greatest entertainer of all time you should see anything from central park and just look at all the new yorkers are seeing a country concert awesome
WOW! WHAT A SONG !! WHAT A PERFORMANCE!! BY GARTH! LOVED IT! THE ROSE WAS A SWEET ADDED TOUCH! FANTASTIC REACTION AS ALWAYS, HAP!! 🥰❤🎶🎶🎶 great song choice Sumer!!
Garth Brooks signed autographs for 23 straight hours for his fans his band has been him since the eighties If Tomorrow never comes was his first number one song listen to the song The River G/B
When you go to a Garth Brooks concert you definitely get your moneys worth. He is such an amazing performer. He doesn't stand still on the stage, he is all over the place. Its amazing.
Excellent song and phenomenal reaction! Garth Brooks is an amazingly talented country singer , and I love that you really got the meaning of the lyrics! You absolutely nailed it here, man!! Keep those great tunes coming, Hap3speaksz!
The song the thunder rolls and friends in low places have 3rd verses he only does live cause at the time he did them radio stations wouldn't have played them .
Sux that Garth pulls his music from TH-cam but his music is amazing! My rockin’ favorites from Garth are That Summer; Standing Outside the Fire; Ain’t Goin’ Down (‘Til the Sun Comes Up); Callin’ Baton Rouge; Rodeo; and Two of a Kind, Workin’ on a Full House. My emotional favorites of his are If Tomorrow Never Comes; Unanswered Prayers; Wolves; What She’s Doing Now; The River; Learning to Live Again; That Ol’ Wind; Somewhere Other Than The Night; Much Too Young (To Feel This Damn Old); The Dance; She’s Every Woman; and In Lonesome Dove. But his most powerful songs are Mom; The Thunder Rolls; The Night I Called The Old Man Out; We Shall Be Free; and The Change.
You should know that this song is actually Billy Joel's, not Garth. Garth did such a great cover version of Billy's song that it's probably more popular than Billy Joel's original version but this is Billy Joel's song, not Garth Brooks. You should see the Central Park concert performance of this one. It's fantastic.
TWANG accent you hear comes from. the south eastern part of the USA.....they have a twang in how they speak there...I lived there for 8 years....look up..American southerners speak..LOL
The only stuff you'll find of his on youtube is live. He doesn't put his video's of TH-cam. You can find " Till you come back to me again". Look up stuff with his wife, Trisha Yearwood. She is on TH-cam.
I am not sure that is actually the case, being that this is originally a Billy Joel written and recorded song that was released two years before Garth's cover, with and Garth's version recorded around 15 years before he and Trisha married.
The art in the middle of his name sounds like like what Van Gogh produced Art. Not like the air that we breath. G art-h finish it with regular th sibilant. I know it is American pronunciation. Just trying to help. This is a Billy Joel song did you know that. Have you noticed how close to the edge of the stage he is? That is not an accident. He showed up at a Billy Joel concert and Garth and Billy sang it together. It was righteous. That was Garth's sister on the Bass. She was with the band for a long while and then there was a dust-up and she was gone. As of now I do not know if they have reconciled or not.
Could you react to "Queen & Adam Lambert Dragon Attack (drum battle, Roger and his son) live in kiev 2012"? please, it's so different and cool, hi from Colombia
Avi Kaplan has a new original song dropping on Friday he has teased for the past few days if you want to react as soon as it comes out. Looks like they are all starting up again now that it seems they may be able to do live shows in the autumn.
Dude, you need to get away from the ballads and discover the uptempo Country side of Garth. Rodeo and Papa Loved Mama would be a great place to start. We Shall Be Free was a hugely controversial song because he was singing about gay rights when that wasn’t cool yet. Go get ‘em!
Garth nails this excellent song written by The Piano Man: Billy Joel 👏 Welcome to the deep rabbit hole that is Garth Brooks!
looking forward to it ! Cheers Mary.

Garth Brooks Fans: Shameless!!!! Best concert I’ve ever been to!!
Clearly the song that was running through Tom Cruise’s head during that famous Oprah interview.
This is actually my favorite Garth Brooks song written by my favorite Piano Man, the great Billy Joel!!
I would Challenge ANYONE, who could deliver that song BETTER than him!!!! His energy was huge at that end.
Garth Brooks at his best ... “The Dance”! A song that will make you think about life in a whole new way!!
Garth baby!!!!

Garth Brooks won entertainer of the year so many times (7!!) he finally had to take his hat out of the ring just to give someone else a chance.
This was back in the days of Ropin the Wind... Garth Brooks made me love Country Music. I miss those days.
You know it should be easy for a man who's strong

It was in the 2001 he left music at the top of his game to raise his three girls not many musicians would do that 🏆🥇💓

He stage act he got from Chris Ledoux

I had the privilege of seeing Garth in concert and he performed this song exactly this way, one of my favorite songs from him
The Thunder Rolls is another excellent song
Excellent song choice for a reaction! Bravo 👏
I’ve been blessed to see him in concert twice! He is worth every penny of that ticket that you pay for! He makes sure that you get the best of him!

Amazing he had the crowd in the palm of his hand.
All these years the song still gets me. Having seen Garth Brooks in person he still puts on the best show!

Billy Joel wrote this song 🎵
Love that Steel Guitar! While Billy Joel's original was excellent the guitar puts it over the top for me
Please do Rodeo by Garth. The audios are usually someone else singing so his live versions or official music videos are best

George Strait looks taller than Garth Brooks but george Strait is only 5'10" and Garth Brooks is 6' but his stocky build makes him appear shorter...
