Warwick is lovely, a rare treasure of a man if he is the same when the camera is off. A definite keeper!!! I want a Warwick please??? Lovely home its all about family!!! Glad they sold the other house. Not sure about the 'bling' though.....Well done Warwick well done both of you. Hope the market is picking up again now...cheers from Western Australia 🦘🦘🦘🦘
My Great grandfather built a house in KeriKeri on a ridge a little outside of town. His wife called the view to the north her sunshine view and I can see why. What a gorgeous house that takes every advantage of its gorgeous view. ❤
Good heavens! What a couple - a real Quiet Man who got on with it - yes, she was right he is unique - amazing talent & tenacity! I'd be quite interested to see the entire process - the planning & getting tru' Council - I can't imagine what they thought when they saw those Plans! The thing which is also central to this drama is what happened over Covid - how it tore families, friends & businesses apart - prices sored thru' the roof & getting stuff down here was shockingly difficult - & how ironic when you learn where all the timber was going... Really glad they came trough it all & their family can enjoy a remarkable home - I'd have liked to know more about the kitchen & the actual stones & timbers used. Quite astounding!
I’m amazed in how big this home is and the magnificent craftsman ship that has gone into the build, I have helped build over 16 homes but their only standard Australian homes. Great job guys enjoy your new home
Personally, if anyone has a passion project, their vision should be encouraged. That is how you foster the spirit of endeavour, creativity, resilience, a sense of pride, and achievement. Nothing wrong with that.
So far on this show (well, one on GD-AU and then here on GD-NZ 16:40), I've heard two men say "Happy wife, happy life." which is just very touching. Both times said with a quiet, strong, affectionate nod.
NZ$1.8 isn't that much money, only £856k, which wouldn't go very far in the UK. They did very well indeed to build such an enormous house for so little money. The craftsmanship was excellent. It looked like an aircraft hangar to me to be honest but if they like it, that's all that matters. Well done both of you - you do make an excellent team.
Oh my god all these Covid builds, if you just wait until the end of Covid you can sell that extra property for 1.5 or double!! It’s like I want to go back in time and tell them
I love just about everything about this home except its size. It's obese; there's no other word to describe it. Why go through all that stress and anxiety, as the money ran out, when a more appropriate design could have been built? I've seen this sort of thing happen time and time again, whereby enormous, over-budget homes fail to satisfy clients over the long haul. I wouldn't be surprised to see this particular home become a school or community center at some point in the future.
30. min. Its a crazy plan and idea of 1 crazy woman. A really obaiing husband and emotions. but all in all...... To big to maintain.... You don't live for ever...
Jesus wept, 600m2 for two people made, yet again, concrete, steel and glass, office building. Both dull and flatulent. Their first comment was just how absurdly large it is,
What a dreary dark house with few creative parts. The hallways and doors are way too small for the scale. And like others built that way, what a waste of wood on the ceiling. What's with the low class chandeliers?
Woe is me, we built a house the size of a supermarket, and it cost us all of our money ... I love this show for the different designs, but I hate the rich people drama!!

Absolutely stunning! It's big but each space fills its purpose, love the concrete wall in the living area with all the greenery.
Fantastic

Funny couple! I was impressed by them. Really hardworking and beautiful results! With the entire family in mind. A community house. Wow.

Everybody is going through a rough time because of the COVID but the sad part is we don't know who is to be held accountable for all of this mess.

Why is this guy the new guy in New Zealand? What happened to our old guy?
if all people on earth will build like this mankind is doomed
people should be more modest....
Go small or go home.
Less is more.
Love this new presenter!
Tom Webster's doing particularly well, especially following in the footsteps of Chris Moller (and ultimately, Kevin McCloud).

What do you expect from a farmer....they like function more than form....it's been built by a genuine man!

Nah way too big. There is nothing homely or welcoming about it. Just feels sterile to me.
Previous host was better. Awesome show though.
Intro was too long and meaningless.
