EDIT(Answered in another post/comment) What region yall in? I been hunting them flatheads in Louisiana, I work all summer and only really get to fish winter. I catch plenty of blues around toledo bend.
I've caught them in deep water at Pickwick lake and they will be white and they turn blue in live well. A buddy of mine that's a catfish guide said it was the change in depth and water temperature. Holler if you're in my neck of the woods and we can wet a hook tkx
I believe in this case it is mostly due to the color of the water. We had recently had some heavy rains and the water was pretty stained. Usually they tend to be lighter colored in dingier water.
Good info, just wanted to send some positive energy your way from southwest GA 💪
As a novice catfisherman I am always looking for advice to increase my catch. I appreciate your videos on this.
Thanks man!!
