Having a small activity out meanwhile you make breakfast is such a great idea!

Great blog. I also work with my daughter when my son is down from nap, it’s when she can really focus!

Would love to see another one of this. I have a 21 month old and it’s just hard to do circle time with him. Even when I try to read a book he’ll just flip through the pages and move on to the next thing. Any tips?

I’m planning on doing an updated routine video soon! So glad you enjoyed this one. I would suggest following your child! Don’t feel pressure to do circle time if they aren’t into it, find something else you can do together! We’ve gone through seasons of reading lots of books and then reading none. Currently my 4 year old isn’t very interested in reading, but spends hours building. My 2 year old would read every book in the house if I let him. There is a season for everything. Give yourself some grace and focus on what makes you both happy. Our routine has changed a lot since that video because both the boys are at a ½ day Montessori school.

I'm curious about how the transitions to place. Do you have to draw them into circle time or do they know when it happens and are ready?

Circle time definitely isn’t for every kid! If my kids are interested we would either skip it, or I would try sitting myself and starting circle time myself, they usually didn’t want to miss out and would eventually come join!

His bed should be lowered so he doesn’t try to pull up and flip out of the crib😥

This video is almost a year old! We've since lowered it and are getting ready to transition to a toddler bed :)
