    Tremendously amazing ideas. 👏 I am not surprised that Stella prefers to work with materials instead of playing outside some days. 😉💖👍

      Thank you! This is true, sometimes she is just too eager to work with her materials and doesn't want to "waste" a single minute 😅

      Thank you, I appreciate it! And absolutely, I can address the yoto! Is there anything in particular you'd like to know about it or have questions on?

    Where can one find that color sorting peg pie thing?

    • @MariaandMontessori
      @MariaandMontessori  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's an older item that was passed down to us and I've unfortunately not been able to find something like it for sale! There's color posting activities for color gradation on Amazon and Etsy, but haven't seen something exactly like this

    After a long summer of pretend play and being outside, these are some of the activities we have been working on! I hope you find these ideas helpful 🥰 As always, I linked everything I could find in my Amazon storefront.

    Hi love, still Mia i see😊 hope all is well, I have a question do you leave out the things set on your practical life shelf, does your daughter not mess with all
    Of them all at once ? And also I find my daughter gets super frustrated if she cannot finish a task all the way through, she does not even want me to demonstrate how to do it, she gets super angry and throws a mini tantrum (she is 23 mths at the moment)… any suggestions for me?

      Hi! The transition to school for Stella and back into the class for me has taken all the time I used to have for filming, but I do hope to be back! Yes, all of our activities that were out for the current rotation at this age were set up and available. Back when she was 1 and I had just introduced the Practical Life shelf, since things I'd have all say to, and others had started with just things like 2 cups on a tray if they needed water. I started with just 2 or 3 activities on that shelf so it wouldn't become chaos, and we worked on taking the work off the shelf, bringing it to her table, and bringing it back. So by the point that she is at in this video, she knew well enough how it works for me to be able to leave it all set up and ready to use on the shelf!
      If your daughter is getting frustrated trying an activity, there's 2 options. 1 is understanding what aspect of it is frustrating and seeing how you can help her develop for it (ie if using a small pipette was too difficult, I'd switch to a larger one or even a baster to keep the same motions and idea but make it easier to master). Remember that we always isolate the difficulty, so there should only be 1 new/challenging aspect about an activity. 2 is just getting that activity out yourself and setting up next to her to do it. With no words, no invitation, nothing. As if you're sitting down to eat a snack and drink some coffee while she plays. She will notice, observe, and pick up what she needs. This is how we get kids interested in the "big kid works" in the class-letting them sit nearby as we do a presentation on multiplication for a kindergartener 🙂
