If John Ottman composes music for the mutants appearing in the MCU, I will absolutely cry in tears of joy. Edit: I hate Danny Elfman. He was great with the Raimi Trilogy and Age of Ultron, but he is very garbage at continuity.
They could but Something tells me they wont in order to distinguish themselves from previous live iterations of the characters, their bound to have the 90s theme song in the marvel studios opening bits though.
@@Clonest Both are of equal chances if you consider Deadpool's entry into the MCU. He might not necessarily be the only mutant to cross into the MCU from the X-Men Universe. I'm not holding my breath, but we never know. Besides, they had the guts to give us a fake version of X-Men Quicksilver. I don't think those films would get ignored that easily.

X_Man96 Isn’t this essentially an orchestral version of the cartoon theme? Honestly, listen to them both back to back; they share the same melody. The cinematic version just draws out the instrumental, giving it a more serious and heroic sound rather than a cartoony one.

OHHHH A superb job in mixing these finally someone tried it out, my idea was You're X-men lead in to the first part of the end credits with Erik's New theme then when it begins to do the X2 theme again it becomes the DOFP variant and then end with maybe the X2 ending version but Nicely Done here :D

This is why I consider Days of Future Past and Apocalypse to be the definitive endings to the X-Men Universe (despite the fact that Dark Phoenix, Deadpool, Deadpool 2, and Logan take place after, the latter three being great movies).

The Animated one sounds electric beat and badass, while this theme is heroic and emotional
