How about using a candle flame in front of the lips? That is the way they used to check and stop leaking breath in the "old days". Tissue made it easier and if fragile enough. to show any leaking air escaping while speaking or singing. mt
I wanted to wish you a happy birthday! I also, had a question? Can one over breath and would that be the reason why it hurts their voice just when talking and singing? I’ve tried everything and I just can stop hurting myself even talking.
@@Tenoretrimble Thank you! I will try my hardest and practice just to speak. This has been going on just with the speaking since junior high-school. I’ve seen doctors and they’ve said nothing is wrong just irritation 😟. And, then I’m lost all over again lol.
@@rioRochoa93 I had the same problem, but even correcting the air leak issue didn't help, so I consulted an ENT. My vocal cords were fine. It was all down to my sinuses. Lots of problems that I was unaware of until my CT scan results came back. Surgery was awful, but worth it in the end. No more pain or irritation when I sing or speak for a long time. Might be worth looking into if for nothing else than ruling out a physical problem in addition to correcting your breathing. Best wishes!
hi michael, anyway why you never reply any comment anymore? i heard opera singer tends to cut their sound in the last of the phrase, is that for breath stop too?
We"ve had 3 deaths. in our family during the last month. One of them was my older daughter, and we are totally devastated. So, i'm sorry I seem to answer less, but we are in deep mourning and grieving. I turned age 85, too, and I get tired. sooner and more often. you will need a lesson to learn how to do correct cut-offs. Some singers who base their singing on the diaphragm often make the little grunting sound at the end of a note or phrase. During the great era of Caruso, it was. called "the Caruso Sob". I have been teaching it for years to spinto singers and sometimes to lyric singers, too, if they tend to collapse the support at the end of phrases. Heroic singers do it automatically if they can sing. without it, the voice becomes baritonal or a wobble develops. All the best to you. put up a tape on. TH-cam so we can listen to you. Michael t
