Hello!
Language is the most important means of communication. So, we should teach language for communication, not dissecting it into its pieces and studying them in isolation. As Pat Rigg stated in 1991, “If language isn’t kept whole, it isn’t language anymore.” In this video, Prof. Dr. Aydan Ersöz talks about how we can language integratedly as a whole where we teach all main skills (listening, reading, speaking, and writing) and associated skills (syntax, vocabulary, spelling and pronunciation) together for effective and successful communication.
